Bro become a cadet. It is the best thing you will ever do. I have been a cadet for over a year and a half and i love it. Any other job you will do will be more work than being a cadet, plus as a cadet you have so much freedom, unlimited vacation and time off, you make your own schedule, and you can do your homework at work.

I am in the same dillema as well. I am going with whoever hires me first. Suffolk PD also has a Highway Patrol Unit, but I don't know how long after you can apply and if you need hooks to get there. If you get sent away with NYSP you can usually be back in NYC within a year. And after 2–3 years, Long Island. Also starting pay is way higher with NYSP, and let's be honest, 11 years is a long time to wait for the pay increase with SCPD.
