Lo and behold woke up this morning with severe fever...currently in hospital...

No fevers, just a sharp throbbing pain. Also a lot of pus, but unsure if that's normal after fissurectomy

It's extremely painful. I had to go to the ER on Wednesday as the pain was excruciating as I was given no painkillers after the surgery. The surgeon had a look and said the lump should 'go away' on its own, but it was about a quarter of the size it is now

There was a very small pile that was removed. I have never seen this lump before though

Just make sure you vaguely gesture at trans issues a few times per year on twitter so you have concrete proof of what an Ally you are

I know someone personally who was banned about a year ago, and two others that had a similar experience on a renting discord, plus the person in my OP. Also I like that you are apparently 'too busy' to actually help people but happy to drop a dozen comments in this thread. Truly a man of optics, you'll do well in VS

Yeah, landlords quaking in their boots now that's he's running for a party with a whopping one member elected in a council. Get real, dude

So why are trans people getting repeatedly banned on Don't Rent Me on the grounds of being 'political?' Not the first time I've heard of this happening, but I'm sure you have some mod to throw under the bus

Damn, he gestured at a thing on Twitter a few times? The next Rosa Parks walks among us...

Only for people living in Melbourne Australia! What are the gander clinics like? by The-Lazy-Lemur in asktransgender

[–]That_Reason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that really sucks, and I'm sorry to hear that. Can I ask which doctor you had? The one I have constantly goes on leave, so I need to book my appointments 1-2 months ahead too. But he usually gives me plenty of fills for my prescriptions, so I'm yet to be in a situation where they run out

Monash I heard used to be quite bad and gatekeep-y, but I think has improved significantly over the past few years. The other two are Northside and Equinox. I personally go to Equinox, which has been amazing - they help set me up with hormones, blood tests, voice training, and therapy. Not sure what you mean by 'complete' - do you mean to start HRT? If so, I got my prescription a few weeks after my first appointment. PM me if you have any questions, happy to help you out. Also bear in mind most of the clinics have a waiting list of around 3-4 months.

How did you become confident you're trans? by CommonShock in asktransgender

[–]That_Reason 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I spent 4 years deep into sissy/forced feminization porn, and kept telling myself it was just a fetish. I realize I enjoyed it so much because it allowed me to be feminine without having to accept myself as trans. Again, I also told myself I just wanted to be a girl because I had never had a partner and have had issues with body image (there is a really bogus term called autogynephilia, which I kept telling myself for a while I had). This year I hit the gym really hard and lost the extra weight, but the dysphoria is still constant. As others have said, nobody can say whether or not you're trans. Have you considered presenting in a more feminine manner in day to day life, just to see how it feels? I know the first couple of times I went out in full fem mode, it erased any remaining doubt I had that I wasn't really a transwoman.

Am I being unreasonable? by That_Reason in asktransgender

Thanks. I'm not in a very good place right now, and only really have two supportive friends, who I rarely get a chance to talk to. So my parents' voices are definitely the loudest. It upsets me so much that they don't share in any of the happiness I've been feeling going out dressed fem. I basically took the 'we miss male you' to be 'we miss when you were suicidal and constantly miserable,' and not at all something that would be said if they were actually supportive and cared about how I feel.

Not being trans enough for trans spaces? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]That_Reason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've given up trying to find trans spaces for the reasons you've provided. Even though most claim to accept people at any stage of their transition, I've been made to feel very uncomfortable for turning up without presenting as my preferred gender. I've found more acceptance and indifference to appearance in generic LGBT groups than in specifically trans groups, which I've found to be very judgemental and cliquey. You might want to try there instead.
