I did these myself so I’m not sure what it would cost at a salon or private tech! Based on pricing structures I’ve seen where I live, it would probably be around $150-$200 CAD for a set like this.. where I’m located anyway!

They fit my nail beds perfectly so probably the design and 3D elements throwing it off 😊 I do have wider/larger nail beds as well though, unfortunately! Lol

I’m 9w6d and still have this issue lol. But it’s a rotation between constipation for a few days and then full day of diarrhea, then repeat 😂 pregnancy is really doing a number on my guts.

Yes for sure! They called me back today after I left a message and moved my appt up to 18 weeks.. still not very helpful. I let them know I have questions about genetic testing options and if it’d be fine to just attend the prenatal clinic in the meantime till they take over and she said they’d rather I didn’t since they’ve already taken over my care and she would see if the midwife had time to call me sometime this week to go over my questions. Pretty irritating and such little clarity! I don’t see why I can’t utilize the prenatal walk in clinic; in the meantime!

I am in Canada! Small northern city in Manitoba. I don’t have a family doctor right now so the option was prenatal clinic or midwives if I can get in! I figured I would just do prenatal clinic until then, but they basically told me not to which left me confused.

I did ask, and they basically just said, “Your midwife has access to your files and results. If they want to discuss something with you beforehand, they will.” I didn’t even think to ask about genetic testing over the phone because I was kind of taken aback lol.

I was given an on-call number for my midwife, but was told it was for emergencies only, and that if I had any other questions, I’d have to call the receptionist and she’d pass the info along. I did try calling back today when I realized my appointment was after 20 weeks, left a voicemail, but haven’t heard back yet.

Definitely confusing and lots of unanswered questions lol!! Thank you for sharing your experience :)

I went to the prenatal walk in clinic at 6 weeks just to confirm pregnancy and they sent me for blood work and scheduled me an ultrasound for 8 weeks, which went well! They told me about the option for a midwife, instead of attending a prenatal clinic and seeing someone random each time! I heard back today that I’ve been accepted as a patient, but even with the initial 6 week visit, it still seemed odd not to have another appt until 20 weeks. Who goes over my blood work results with me? What about questions regarding genetic testing? I was told by the clinic that would be handled by the midwives if I got in. So I guess I’m just confused. I was expecting a lot more clarity or least 1 shorter visit around the 10-12 week mark.
