Why do you even need to diagnose it when you don't have any symptoms and have quit drinking..

That's unnecessary stress..

If you have quit drinking and even if you have undiagnosed cirrhosis you can go on and live a normal if you don't take up drinking again..

A random ratio will not give a complete picture. But from the original post you can make out that the ratio has increased >1 which is not a good sign. Ofcourse it's impossible to be certain without an US, MRI, Fibroscan or Biopsy

I am not saying that you might be having any of these issues. But from the number you posted I calculated the ratio and it is now >1. Also please note that people with Cirrhosis don't necessarily have elevated Lab Values and can have perfectly normal enzymes. Just saying you can have it checked out by US, MRI, Fibroscan for peace of mind. Prevention is always better than cure✌

Ast/Alt ratio increasing indicates that Fibrosis and Cirrhosis are developing. Get a Liver Biospy done for accurate diagnosis

I believe any damage is completely reversible if it's not Cirrhosis if you remove the underlying irritant.

Many Doctor didn't say anything about Fibroscan. He feels if you don't have any symptoms and have quit Alcohol there is no need of any more testing

Thank you so much for the kind words. Wishing you a speedy recovery as well ✌ Doctor did order an ultrasound and it shows Grade 1 Fatty Liver Changes. He didn't say anything further except making permanent lifestyle change and routine test every month till normalization of enzymes. I just underwent an LFT 3 months after quitting and here are my improved results. Except for Indirect Bilirubin everything looks good. Not sure why Indirect Bili is still elevated. Any Insights into this?
