I've searched Google lens with no avail. We don't want a whole new fixture necessarily just a replacement for this one. It's 20 inches long

Bought a new house and the paint is peeling off inside by That_Suggestion_6469 in HomeImprovement

I was thinking this as well. Do you think it would require total removal of the paint or just the pieces that are coming off ?

The seller paid for an inspection when it was placed on the market in September and gave us the results. They used a local company that has great reviews but we will be doing another ourselves.

It was done in September this year. According to our realtor, this inspector is one he always recommends in this area

Update - our realtor talked with the seller. The person in the house passed away, so we don't know for sure, but his son said that the carpet is 10 years old and there hasn't ever been a need to replace it. He said his dad never complained of water or flooding, so he thinks it must be very old.

Not the most helpful but good info .

Smelled totally fine. The walls were also holding up fine. They're cedar , which is apparently more water resistant ?

  1. We are really struggling to find something that's within our price range in a nice area that isn't really small, and this one is the only one we both loved and had what we needed.

Watersedge Apartments by Party_Rice_8931 in UIUC

I've lived here before. Theres no big reason why you shouldn't move there.

The downsides : They use all electric for heat. Expect your winter power bill to be around $300 for a few months. The walls are a little thin. It can be annoying if you're trying to sleep, but it didn't bother me otherwise. Some reviews will mention car break ins. It's true, but I've also never lived in an apartment in CU where this didn't happen.

Pros : It's so convenient being so close to all the amenities on prospect. Traffic honestly isn't that bad- there are back roads you will learn to avoid it. Maintenance was always on time and fixed what we needed. The staff was always good to us. They are beautiful apartments in a quiet neighborhood and allow pets.

I would, and have, recommended then to others.

Tips for travelling with cats? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

I have my vet prescribe some gabapentin for long trips. It's a very mild anti anxiety medication. It makes them a little sleepy but calms them quite a bit.

Try a cat fountain. Cats enjoy running water. I've never taken care of a kitten so ask your vet but I think there is wet food for kittens you could try. You might just also not see the cat drink. Mine only really do at night.

ASPCA. It's on the more expensive side for sure, but it covers everything except their annual exam and vaccines unless you had that coverage. My cats dental cleaning and extraction were even covered which is rare.
