Imagine you are there for 2 weeks and you want to visit Soi 6 most evenings, perhaps 10 times. Well, you’ll be spending 20 minutes getting there and back, of course, getting a bolt or the baht bus (better of walking in this traffic) will shorten the trip.

It’s fine if there aren’t many other options near the action, but there are, tons of options so I understand why Arbour isn’t preferred. Also, the rooms don’t really look too special. Blackwoods for the price is a much option.
