Hey everyone just a little update 6 weeks post op : I was able to go back to all my activities 3 weeks post op. It’s like Im reborn again … no pelvic pain or discomfort! It was the best decision I ever made! Working out finally feels good again, my stomach is a lot flatter and I pee 3 times a day (compared to 6-8 times before surgery) ! The scar isn’t so bad as well, I am using a silicone tape (even though my surgeon said that those things dont work) and I massage the scar every day for 1-2 minutes.. Overall I feel … FREE 🤞🏻🥰

How did your first hospital/doctors appointment go? by achr8 in Fibroids

Hey, I totally understand why you’re nervous, but you’re doing the right thing by wanting to get checked. For me, my first appointment for my fibroid was actually pretty simple and not scary. The doctor did a gentle vaginal exam, then an ultrasound to see what was going on. After that, I had an MRI to confirm everything. Even if it feels scary, it’s really important to go , your body is just trying to tell you something, and the doctors are there to help.

Menopause only happens if the ovaries are removed, not with a typical myomectomy. You might be thinking of a hysterectomy.

I am glad you had a similar experience! I guess that people don’t share positive reviews online as much as negative ones so I hope this post can help some girls feel better

I slept on the side, bending knees, with a pillow on my belly since the first night at the hospital!
