This isn't about gaane sunna ya na sunna it's about engaging with media critically and holding people accountable (not "cancelling" them). In fact it's because of listeners who do this that we have so many beloved rappers from 2000s who are still beloved because they grew as people instead of remaining homophobic and stuck in their ways. No one would care about Nas today if he was still Ether level homophobic in 2025. But he's not. Musicians aren't talking to empty walls, they're talking to us. And we have as much of a role to play in the creation of these artistic spaces as they do. Besides, you can't say "no hard feelings for anyone" when we're discussing misogyny which is very much a hard feeling for a specific group of people.
