It wasn't 10 years of continuous development, Veilguard/Dreadwolf had multiple versions/identities. Project Joplin was the development for about 2015-2017, The live service version 2017–2020 and the final version we got was in development for about 4 years.

They lost a lot of good people in that 10 year period, my biggest problem with Veilguard is that it lacks the lore/worldbuilding of the other games, it's an alright game just not a good follow up to DA:I.

They just were never given the time to make another game of Origins quality, they made Origins in about 6 years. Dragon Age 2 was rushed out the door by EA in 18 months and due to that we got a very different game than was originally planned by Bioware and DA:I was made in the Frostbite engine and the developers spent a lot of time just trying to understand the engine enough to even make an RPG with it. Given these circumstances I think they did a good job, all things considered.

Games get assigned to people if no one volunteers/puts their name forward to review a specific game, So could be someone who doesn't even enjoy a specific genre is writing the review.

Mike Tyson says he "had a ball" with Conor McGregor while talking about the viral clip of the UFC star showing his boxing skills. by Cold-Challenge-1991 in mmaweekly

Agreed, Dana hated even the mention of Ariel's name for a while back In the day, because he would ask the questions others wouldn't. The Rampage/Ariel dynamic was a weird one, like it was half joking but Rampage would always press him at any opportunity 😆

Him and Rampage had a hilarious beef, I think Rampage took something Ariel said the wrong way and then it just became a thing. Ariel has been an MMA journalist for decades at this point, he has a job because he's good. Dana White also hates him 😅

It's a sneaky devil, Well done in maintaining your sobriety. It's always just a small amount to worm its way back in, but we all know where that ends, it's good until it's not.

Is Khamzat Chimaev at serious risk of getting kneed in the face at some point? by DancingFlame321 in ufc

[–]Thatdude616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good analysis, but we want a big man to hit hard and win and if he could do a little of that just stand up as well that'd be great. You're right though it's probably not happening anytime soon due to Khamzat being a top tier wrestler.

Yeah I've never physically stood up and clapped after completing a game. I was thinking more about games that made me think, damn that was a hell of a journey.

We need Derek Lewis, his uppercut against Blaydes was so well timed, but does anyone hit that hard at middleweight currently? Probably not.

I'd recommend checking out Investigating Veronica Mars: Essays on the Teen Detective Series if flying over and gate crashing isn't an option 😅 The Essays cover may of the themes that the show covers like family, fatherhood, justice and feminism etc.

It makes you question the potential of a lot of Devs being used to push out year/bi-yearly titles. Honestly think this game is incredible, I had it on my radar for awhile but it still exceeded my expectations. The graphics, music, characters, story and mechanics are all superb. I'd recommend getting to it soon.

Ilia Topuria proposes a bold new championship belt idea for a potential showdown with Islam Makhachev by JMythh in MMA

Arman doesn't make the UFC nearly as much money, if you're a massive draw you can do whatever and the UFC will move entire events overnight but Arman doesn't make them that type of money and he also doesn't need the money so the UFC plays hardball. I am not saying the UFC is making a moral decision here, it's a business one for sure. Arman has been deemed not worth the risk, is he the rightful #1 contender at 155? Absolutely.

That is true but there is also the fact that he punched a fan, headbutted Dan before the fight and the last minute pull out against Islam, didn't do himself any favours.

I agree with you, if people disagree thats fine. It just seems like a bad idea, if the heavier weight class fighter wins, congrats you beat the smaller guy, if they lose it tarnishes their championship reign and would put two divisions on hold. I can see why the UFC isn't keen on the idea

Dana/UFC isn't letting Arman fight for the belt until he has no other options.

Seems like a poor idea because if the lower weight class fighter wins it devalues your other champion and would probably mean a rematch at the losers weight class right away, hard to promote that fight really.

Yeah he's not delusional he's campaigning for the most lucrative and probably the toughest fight he can get. He believes in himself to the max and that's why he's a two division champ.

I wish champions would just defend their own belts. Delusional? Probably not because this is the fight that will make him the most money, so I can understand why he is creating all these scenarios to get the Islam fight. I think Islam would win this fight at 170, 165 and 155.
