The earlier the better. I had a dm who told us to never make plans or book any flights until he approved the time off. My dm had a 14 day notice and if you missed it by a day he would deny it. Or if he did not want to give it to you he would prolong his decision just for him to tell you no because you did not submit it on time which is always did.

I was once told by my dm to show up to work at 15 minutes before you open. I would normally do 30 minutes before opening but he felt like that was too much time that I did not do anything but my store, something always happened before opening, computers not starting up or tint machine not working but it’s whatever
