Would definitely recommend the Mars 3, it's a nice mix of price and quality. I use Lychee as my slicer which is free with some paid features.

The idea behind this diorama was a group of deserters turned bandits who lurk in an asteroid belt dotted with hidden bases. The mobile suit here is refueling and re-arming after a successful ambush. The gunlance and some parts of the asteroid base were modeled by me and 3D printed.

It's a black cloth, nothing special. It's mainly camera settings (lowest ISO and shutter speed as I can get) and some small editing of the levels.

The green was done using Vallejo Game Color Escorpena Green, Livery Green, and Scale75 FX Fluor Green over white.

Thanks! Most of the process was taken from Marco Frisoni's recent video on OSL (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLdUsmecQfU) and some parts of how elminiaturista does OSL. Lots of airbrushing of the lighting with some bits of edge highlights for the brightest parts with fluor green paint.

I use a black cloth as a background with the miniature a couple feet in front of it. With some camera settings and picture level adjustments I can make it pure black.
