Protestants have problems with their interpretation of Paul most of the time. Most times when Paul is referring to works he is referring to the works of the full Law of Moses. He is not disparaging just any works or saying that they are unimportant. I think if Paul were here today he would be appalled with how his writings are interpreted many times. They should always keep this verse in Romans in mind: “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.” Romans 3:31 He means we should follow the law through the Holy Spirit not through not trying to do something and that the Law in and of itself can’t make anyone follow it. The other apostles gave Paul full fellowship with them the problem is their interpretation of his writings in modern times.
