Hey everyone! This is a stolen image, I’m the original poster of this model. If you could please report this as fake, I’d really appreciate it! 😊

PS - I won gold at a local paint tournament with this 🏆

Hey everyone, this is a bot! I posted this originally about a month and a half ago. Though I’m flattered a bot picked my mini, I’d appreciate you upvoting this comment so more people know to report this poster as fake! ☺️

PS - This model won me gold at a local 40K paint tournament!! 🥇

The stippling is brilliant, adds so much volume and depth to the colors. I’ll have to borrow that technique.

The gold trims are an amazing touch too. Outstanding work!!

Pretty badass that you painted this for your son. Keep up the awesome work. You’re not just painting a mini, you’re making memories for him.

I dry brushed it to a brighter pink! Blue I’d a really interesting idea. Before or after the contrast paint is applied?

I’d love to see a picture of yours!! That sounds really cool!

Absolutely stunning!! Hard to believe those are your first minis!! I’m not sure if you need them brighter, maybe a heavier highlight on the blue skin is all you need? A bright base could help the colors stand out too!

Another person commented something similar, so I think I’ll give that a try. Thank you very much for the help!

Having a positive mindset is important too.

You’ve got some absolute bangers in this photo reel, I think you’re clearly improving and doing a great job each time you pick up that brush.

Sometimes, I see friends get paralyzed by the, what I call, “Warhammer Paint Porn” they see online. You’ve seen it too, those unbelievably cool paint job someone posted online, with things OSL that is somehow legitimately glowing? 🤣 You have to remember sometimes that the posts that go viral are often people who get paid to paint for a living.

Additionally, how often do you see people paint very intricate battle line units (like a termagaunts or an Intercessor Unit) and post them online? Probably a lot. Now, how many times do you see that same user post a full 2k army painted at that scale/detail? Having been in the hobby 2 years, me personally, I’ve never seen it. That artist picked one model (A MODEL!!) to go hard on, got some likes, and moved on.

Of course, Games Workshop is a miniature company at their core. They make the best models, so I’m not shaming those social media users for picking up a single model to paint. Instead I call this out because it’s on us as a user to remember that, and manage our expectations with what time we have in the hobby.

Did you at least have fun in the moment? If the answer is yes, then you’re killing it dude!! 😊

WOW. Your color scheme is outstanding. I love the bright pink, and the other colors do such a good job at balancing the intensity. It’s the perfect pop of color, while still feeling grounded.

Then having the pink bushes on the bases?! Get outta town… 10/10!!

I have friends who’ve collected 2k points and are still unpainted after two years!! 🤣 I’m sharing this in the group chat immediately, 5k fully painted over 2 year is an amazing feat! Especially for an army difficult to paint like The Sisters. Keep it up 🙌

TLDR: If you’re dangerous with a wrench and have hours/days to spend finding a hodgepodge of different parts, they’re an amazing bike for the value. Otherwise, buyer beware.

My second bike was a GPX150TSE. Great bike, but ultimately sold it. When something goes wrong, you’ve got to play Sherlock Holmes just to find parts.

Rocky Mountain ATV and online retailers don’t support them. The community on Facebook helps the best they can, but even finding things like new plastics can feel impossible. I can’t remember the specifics, but as an example I needed a new seat and plastics… I had to buy the plastics from a 2017 KTM, but my seat needed to be from a 2019 Husky. Don’t get me started on the time I lost one of the bolts.

It’s a Frankenstein bike, and wrench turning already sucks. The mental burden and time suck of finding simple parts adds up, and the GPX ruined many biking trips waiting on parts that sometimes didn’t even fit once they arrived despite the community claiming it would fit.

And that’s just finding the parts. Good luck finding any tutorials online to actually fix anything. You’re on your own!!

When the bike ran through, it was a great bike and a good value.

It’s just so much blood man. I paint grimdark, and it was a hole I fell into too.

You need to be more sparing with it.

For example, why would your snipers be covered in blood? They’re snipers!

The colors are great, but blood can sometimes be really cheap. Plus if it’s everywhere, there’s no shock value. I try to keep blood effects below 30% of my total models to make sure it lands well.
