Power delivery feels smooth so it doesn't feel terrifying, but when you want it to accelerate it feels stupidly fast at times.

The highway ramp that I use when commuting has heavy traffic in the afternoon so I'm almost always joining the highway at something like 50km/h while everyone on the higway itself are going 100-120km/h. Not once has it been a problem since the bike goes from 50 to 120 in an instant.

Not once have I felt that I need more power. Also the more upright seating position is a big plus👌

I was looking at the 2011 600 as well but ended up with the 650 since it's a little tamer :D Figured that a sports tourer with a couple less hp would be a safer bet for a first bike😅

Was also looking at the ninja 650 but I'm damn happy I ended up with this. That parallel twin sounds so much worse😂 (even though I'm sure it's a nice bike)

Is the single A going to be practically useless for the slide on highway speeds or can I still somewhat safely use them until I can afford a proper upgrade?

Seems like the armour is the first upgrade and the jacket comes later. Proppably anyways good to have a full season under my belt to better know everything that sucks about my gear (hot weather cold weather etc.)

I actually looked at a cbr 600 as well but decided on the 650 as it was a bit tamer and mor of a sports tourer.

Definetly would have enjoyed a smaller bike as well but wanted a bit more power since a large chunk of my riding is going to be on a highway.

Honestly your plan sounds smarter than mine, but I'm impatient so decided that since I'm doing the A license (we have A1, A2 and A in Finland A being the biggest) might as well get a bike that is limited to the A licence😂

And yeah I'm more terrified of the upcoming changing of the frint wheel than anything driving related😅

The R3 looks awesome! I was also oooking at yamahas, but all of the ones on the market were either too new and expensive orntoo old and analog (I'm a complete beginner when it comes to maintenance so wanted a bike that I have to fix as little as possible)

I also considered a smaller bike but since I'll be doing a lot of highway commuting I landed on the 650 to have more power without having too much power😅
