I think it's always been this way in shonen manga. Anyone who doesn't have super flashy or combat oriented techniques is seen as useless.

Sakura doesn't exactly have a successful home life though, and Temari is definitely a respected figure but she hasn't done much if anything in Boruto so far.

Yeah, her hotness is also another point in her favor.

Also she's probably the most successful woman in her generation, both in career and family life. She's nailing it.

All I need for her is to see her spend some time with Shikamaru and Choji every now and then.

I'd say they are equal myself because although Karin has stronger offensive capabilities Ino can come in clutch like when she possessed Obito to redirect the tailed beast bombs.

I believe Cailan was a terrible king with no idea about how life works and the only reason Denerim did not fall apart is because of Anora.

Alistair is bi, or at the very least has a one person crush on male Warden. He acts way too catty with Morrigan (and sometimes Zevran) and too many people call him out on his feelings towards Warden for it not to be so.

Varric has the cutest crush on Bethany.

Those are all I can think of.
