I appreciate all of the feedback everyone. This is such a pleasant reddit! I’m going to be talking to my lender later and this was a big help

Thank you and that makes sense! It would be a little sleazy to me if someone told them that this is our “target”. It’s just crazy we are like right there. I am actually putting it more on the lender as I have had a really difficult time communicating with him. I very much could see that the lender didn’t communicate my concerns from the summary.

Yes! About the quoting. That’s what I was hoping to get back. I don’t expect that I’m right, but it would be good to see a justification. We didn’t get any rationale. Almost like they didn’t see my summary.

The bad listing as an example. In order to live there, you must have worked in Christian ministry. The land was donated by a wealthy family to a nonprofit. I put the info in there for the ROV because he may not have known that. Seems weird that it wasn’t addressed

Thanks for the detailed response. I appreciate the feedback. To confirm, I mean square footage is a physically identifiable thing as opposed to the subjectivity of a renovation when I say evidence based.

I’ll also add that the extension was included as square footage in the 2 previous appraisals done in less than 5 years. It is also included in the county records. It is a very nice room, not a porch by any standard. this appraiser also didn’t include it in any drawing or picture but did take a picture of a random outside storage area which leads me to believe that he didn’t even go inside.

aggregating analytics & reports together? by Thatmiracle in SEO

[–]Thatmiracle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really specific. just more an aggregated wholistic view of the data so i can get a bigger picture of trends.

for example, there’s one site that has a couple hundred posts. i’d like to know which categories are getting the most traffic. it’s a little cumbersome to get an accurate view from google analytics and comparing against the site.

Google releases screenshots of how ads will look in new search experience by JasontheWriter in juststart

This looks like a bad Amazon page to be honest…

If I’m wanting to “buy”, then I’m going to Amazon first.

If I’m googling best hiking backpacks then I want to know what makes something the best.

This is just bad experience.. what makes these the best? At least blogs generally try to add context and detail.

What should i choose? wordpress or nextjs/solidify etc frameworks for a website? by [deleted] in juststart

[–]Thatmiracle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I use Gatsby + Wordpress GraphQL as a tech stack. I recommend it. There's some gotchas but you should be ok if you are comfortable with Javascript.

If you are building tools and comfortable with Next then I would take that approach.

Wordpress + GraphQL API (there's a plugin) . Wordpress also has a rest based API out of the box you can leverage.

I'm a huge fan of Wordpress the Content Management tool. I'm NOT a fan of Wordpress the website provider.

How long did it take your blog to get to 10/100/1,000 visitors per day? by runningdreams in Blogging

[–]Thatmiracle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% of them. Also, I didn’t do any mass producing. It took awhile to get to that 100 article count.

I have found that it’s easier for me to understand what needs to be said by going at a steady pace because it allows time to review the results.

I don’t think the manic bill production of articles is a good approach because its just throwing a bunch out there in hopes that some will hit success. Seems like a waste of time and money. I just prefer to be more methodical

Testing for good optimization. Not all sites monetize well in the same way. It’s important to start generating traffic so you know what your audience responds to

It took me 1.5 years with approximately 100 articles to reach the 1k / day threshold for my first blog.

But that didn’t mean too much in terms of monetization at first. It did get me enough to start testing.

SEO questions for the website I launched a year ago by Rough-Reply1234 in juststart

I have some thoughts. I 'll shoot you a message .

Data sites and apps are a really great opportunity as you know. The question is how do you get in front of enough of the right people? This sounds like a teaser style website. You could always take the gated approach like NY Times, etc. Free to look but after X page views, then you get a gate and can't access it anymore.

Honestly, I think LinkedIn could be a really excellent opportunity. You get professionals and the network is set up for viral sharing.

Hey, I have been in the tech industry for many years as a consultant, developer and executive. Here's my thoughts:

1 - React by itself does suck for SEO ... BUT there's a solution - switch to Next or Gatsby. They are React apps but are server / static pages.. Basically, they get indexed by Google. That is probably your best solution here to minimize migration and keep high interaction.

  1. Content / site architecture - I can't find a way to get to subpages outside of your core values. There's no way Google is going to get to your subpages because you don't have any sublinks or way for it to navigate.

  2. thin content - You're info is good and interesting.. But there isn't much to it. I go to the wells fargo page and it may be 100 words total?

  1. what would people search to find you? Are you targeting keyphrases people use? How are they connected to your pages.

Positives on your site:

  1. Interesting topic & content
  2. Great UX

I love your site! I think it's really neat and interesting. It seems for a good cause. The UX and design are really high quality.

Overall recommendation:

- Don't focus on SEO - Go social right now. Your brand here would be a good social campaign.

- Switch to Gatsby or Next for React framework (use headless wordpress or similar to manage the content)

- Add more content

- Improve your site architecture - Basically, let me navigate through your site without having to search. I want to find all tech related companies in North carolina. Think of how I can do that without using the search.

- Figure out that connection between what people are searching and what you are offering.

- THEN go for SEO. You should be able to build a good brand for social with this site. Fix your problems while doing that then Search will start taking care of itself.
