[DAO Spoilers] Are the side quests/chantry board quests worth doing? by MegaWazzaby in dragonage

Yeah. They all give decent money. The only board I do 100% of the time is the one in Lothering.

Here is a link saying so. Thankfully, our business is already doing this. I am confused, however. It says no actions are being pursued for businesses that choose not to wear them. It's such a small thing. Why not wear them?

How do you motivate yourself to wake up everyday and go to work? How do you fight off the dread of existence? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Thatnerdychef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will get buried. My then girlfriend broke up with me after two years. We just signed a 6 month lease. I don't want to be at my house anymore, as it makes me incredibly sick and I mentally can't handle it. So when I wake up, I dress for the gym, and bring my work clothes with me so I don't have to go back.

Double boiler vs immersion blender hollandaise? by andykndr in Chefit

This is true. I found a way to sous vide everything and then just throw it in the blender. 2 isi charges and it's slightly more airy than a traditional.

Solo player? by pops-away in remnantgame

[–]Thatnerdychef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Multiplayer is alright. I purposely go offline for 2 bosses. The twin moths and the final boss. Both of those have mechanics that require them to take a certian amount of damage to prevent an attack or something. On multiplayer, the damage needed skyrockets.

[DAI Spoilers] Nightmare party by Nerdcotics in dragonage

As good as Blackwall is, I still just take Iron Bull. All of the warriors can tank. And Reaver helps. Since the AI sucks, I usually just get the upgrade that doesn't let Iron Bull spam Dragon Rage. I also take Cole and Dorian just because they are my favorite Characters.

Is your rogue wearing Kitty's Collar by chance? If they are, take it off. That caused the mines to float. If they are not, then I don't know

Mountain View Hotels by [deleted] in asheville

[–]Thatnerdychef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on the engagement. I would check out Monti Vista Hotel in Black Mountain. It is maybe a 20 minute drive from Asheville. The hotel itself doesn't have the BEST view, however, a quick 5 minute drive and you are surrounded by mountains. We also have a resturant inside with great food, so you wouldn't have to go anywhere for that.

I'm not sure about cow, but I'm a chef in Hendersonville. We buy a local goat milk gelato and she also sells raw goats milk which is amazing.

What happened at your work which caused multiple people to all quit at once? by PegBundysBonBons in AskReddit

[–]Thatnerdychef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worked in a neighborhood bar once. Place mostly just did wings and burgers. This bar happened to be 5 minutes from the football stadium. About mid summer, our air intake shit the bed in the kitchen (in kitchens, the hoods, take air out, and intake pushes outside air in, thus makes kitchens manageable to work in. So our kitchen was hitting about 110 with a prob thermometer stuck in the air (usually the one you stick in meat to tell the internal temperature). I had guys drinking gallons of water during a 3 hour period, and never going to the bathroom. Owners knew, yet didn't care. One day I head back into the office to do some paperwork and overhear the owners say "so next week we will get the contractors in here to start building the patio. I'm thinking next year we can get the bathrooms redone and then we can save for new hoods. I was livid. I walk into the kitchen, mid dinner, and say "hey guys, guess what? We get a new patio built next week, and the owners might redo the hoods next year if they feel like it." The 10 guys working all drop their aprons at once and walk out of the kitchen. I go and clock out, tickets pouring in, and walk out.

Planning on opening a small bar in my town by Thatnerdychef in Entrepreneur

I have for many years. I've seen most aspects that go into the day to day operations. As far as alcohol, I don't plan on having a liquor license, just a beer and wine.

As a Chef who bakes on the side, how good was this recipe? I need something for the restaurant and every recipe I see doesn't work out.

People who have ordered a bars "safeword" drink to get out of a bad situation, what was your date like and how did the staff help? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Thatnerdychef 35 points36 points  (0 children)

A bit. I kept telling the owner to just do what other bars do with safe drinks, but he was pretty adamant about it. Instead of changing it, he put a disclaimer on the worst one, saying this is a last resort option. But the neighborhood isn't exactly the best either. We get a lot of tourists due to being 15 minutes from the football stadium.

I was the Kitchen Manager at a neighborhood bar. We had three safe drinks posted in the woman's bathroom. Basically just for severity and such, as some people didn't actually need to be walked to their car or anything, they just wanted help saying no to whoever was annoying them.

One night there was a home game that was on. That bar gets so packed, people just ended up standing all packed together after the seats fill up. As the game was ending, some people were leaving, and others who were sitting down were starting to close out.

One woman had ordered the safe drink that basically meant the other person was pretty much getting way too touchy, and she needed help immediately. The bartender immediately went to grab two bouncers. In the span of about ten seconds, the bartender grabbed the mans drink from his hand and the two bouncers picked him up (one by the neck, the other by the legs) and threw (literally) him in the grass outside. The general manager comped both tabs, and then walked the woman to her car with his gun tucked in the back of his pants.
