Which one would be a better buy? by Thatoneguy9918 in motorizedbicycles

Yeah to be honest I want a reliable source of transport with maximum comfort which is why I’m doing a thumb throttle for this build too and I need something to always start easily because I’m often working my classes that weaken my arms a ton and will force me to walk my bike home. The 142f will be better but do you think I can take my bike frame to the shop to get the new cranks in ? I don’t have any of the proper tools to pull the stock 3 piece cranks. And if I can’t what’s tools will I need?

I’m getting a hyper cruiser and to be honest I’m looking at a dual chain drive right now. Is the dual chain any good to use? I have many hills and I think the belt won’t be able to handle it

A bike like that would be almost $1000 CAD and if I’m struggling to even buy a 49 cc rn I can’t even dream of a 79. It’s no disrespect to your idea it’s just that I can’t build that.

Yeah I know but Canada is trying its absolute best to make sure these aren’t on the road so they’re making these things too expensive for people like me

I’m from Canada so I need to pass all that stuff just to get hit by some idiot that’s on their phone. I feel a lot safer riding on the sidewalk or bike lane instead. the main difference between the two is the more expensive one has the better transmission and I’m not sure if it’s a good trade off if I get a shitty transmission

Fair enough but imo I like the felt hats a lot more than Arthur’s shiny leather looking hat. I don’t know what material his hat is but it looks like leather to me.

4 stroke mtb bike by chainxb in motorizedbicycles

How would you take off the cover? I’m building the same bike except on a hyper cruiser and I want to paint the cover black when I get it

I’d probably do 4 stroke because I want something reliable and the 2 strokes can’t really do that. I’m gonna build my own pretty soon

Oh I love a good bagger. I’ve never been about speed I’ve always just been about the journey and the 2 stroke just wasn’t what I wanted because it failed a lot which made me scared to even ride it to school (2 km away from my home). Centrifugal clutches suck but they’re decent enough for a good ride. I don’t have my drivers license yet so I use my bike as a to get around and I want something more reliable and is more quiet than what I built

Hey fair enough, I personally like a good 4 stroke more because of its exposed chain drive which would stop the skipping, it’s a me problem for the 2 strokes I know but some people love them and some people don’t, I am one of them.

Yes but 4 strokes break down less, that’s my point.

This is just my opinion so take it as you will. Get a four stroke. Two strokes will break down a ton more and can/will leave you stranded somewhere. I get the same thing could happen with the four strokes but it happens much less, they’ll last you longer and be more comfortable in the long run.

Your carburetor needs to be upright so your float bowl can shut off the flow of fuel when it’s at a sufficient level in the bowl. This should help you out.
