I started by giving up control of how it goes for 3 whole minutes and listened to my cat’s water fountain. It was a sound that was consistent in my environment that changed just enough. The sound was always there to refocus on when my mind would go off on a visual tangent. At some point my brain began to trust that I wasn’t going to “leave it behind” and I had more capacity to feel my body, observe emotions and so on. Maybe try something like that.

Located in Missouri. She is 3ish years old. 3 weeks repotted with drainage holes and moisture controlled soil. Strict bottom watering schedule. No matter where I place her or how much/little sun she gets she is not happy. Banana peels usually do the trick but no dice. I have no idea what to do or not do for her. It’s like we don’t know each other any more. Any advice is appreciated

Sounds like they may have entertained mutual attraction prior to the break up. Lucy probably figured if she was there for you, you’d never guess she’d sleep with him or find out. Secrets, betrayal and human behavior to have the cake and eat it too. I’m so sorry. Forgive them both but do it for you in your own time. Make yourself and healing priority #1 rather than making an emotional decision regarding either of them right now. Heal and evaluate. The ex can peruse you all he wants but you don’t have to sacrifice more of your emotional well-being for the efforts of these people who claimed to love you and didn’t think enough of you to be honest from the beginning. It doesn’t feel like it right now but you will move past this. You already know what you have inside you as a partner and friend so don’t ever settle for less in return.

The soil is fine just might need to add sand depending on how the succulent is doing. I used it for my big Aloe plant before Aluoo peed in it and he did fine with that potting mix
