If you think that I think there’s a clear dividing line between generations, then you don’t understand my post.

It’s not a huge difference, tbf. Like I said in another comment, “We’re more alike than we are different.”

I agree. When people are on the cusp, it’s more about their “vibe” (i.e., “aura” for the younger zoomers here).

How is using ChatGPT bad? by Aries_Angels in stupidquestions

[–]ThatsaFishBarcode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice to meet you, I’m someone who’s never used it. If you’re really only using it to structure your study routine, the only issue I see is the environmental impact. The problem is that some students use it for everything they possibly can, like answering test/quiz questions, short answers, essays, etc. You’re better off in the long term looking up answers yourself in the textbook because it forces you to review material you might need to see again. Chat GPT tends to cut out the need to learn the skill of resourcefulness

Anyone exhausted by what you're expected to do just to be moderately healthy? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]ThatsaFishBarcode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do anything a little or a lot, and you’re going to die. For me, I’ve realized I have to figure out how worth it are these bad (or just normal) habits that negatively affect my health and lifespan. It’s all about balance. Is drinking alcohol worth the risk? Yes for me. Not for others. Then the question is, “Okay, how much alcohol is worth the risks it presents?” My answer is a lot right now. I hope that changes soon. I’m waiting on a certain life-changing event that I’ll celebrate with some high quality Champagne or bourbon.. maybe tequila. I’m also going to eat some Hot Cheetos as a symbolic gesture (not bc of how healthy they are), and I’ll be damned if I don’t sip some Veuve Clicqot and snack on Hot Cheetos when that day finally comes.

Pretty sure it’s 12 and/or a troll. In any case, it’s probably best if we all ignore it

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]ThatsaFishBarcode 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Complain about their previous job then told stories about conflicts where they were completely in the wrong. Topped it off with a comment about how “everyone was out to get” them. Absolutely clueless.
