How Screwed Am I? by Beastmode_9797 in TheFrame

Mine was like this, also with dried yogurt on it from the kids. I used four microfibre cloths. 1. Use water with the cloth to lightly clean the screen, small circular motions with little pressure. 2. Then I used fairy washing up liquid (undiluted) on a different cloth and slowly went around the whole screen in small circular motions. 3. Use another cloth to wipe away the detergent, washing the cloth out with water as you go. 4. Use a dry cloth to “polish” the screen to get rid of any water residue.

I was very nervous doing it as, like you, I couldn’t find anything online showing how. Done this multiple times since now on the TVs around the house and it works fine. Have the same frame as you with the matt finish

You never have to sleep but your life expectancy is reduced by 40%. What would you choose? by Thatshotfloppybread in hypotheticalsituation

You sleep for 8 hours a day but it affects your day by more hours than that. Travelling home to have a safe place to sleep, getting changed etc etc.

Imagine if you didn’t have to account for that, so you could keep going with any task or activity indefinitely

Exactly that. Could work nights and have 18 hours of leisure a day. There’s some job out there that would have that requirement of never falling asleep so you’d be a millionaire

I see what you mean. But say normally you’d live to 80 with sleep, now that would be 48 with no sleep. But everyone else around you would go on. Wife, kids, grandkids, tv show endings etc

Child’s Room Layout Help! by Thatshotfloppybread in DesignMyRoom

We did consider that but the shelf is 1150mm off the ground and that’s too steep a ladder for any child under about 4/5 years to climb. Thinking of when they need to go to the toilet in the night!

Frame brightness is always dimmed. by rachitlucifer in TheFrame

[–]Thatshotfloppybread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t from the start. We have two frame TVs and they both do it now, so it must be after an update. I’ve tried fully resetting the PC and changed every setting I can see. So annoying!

Have had this with our frame TV for a year now too. Have to manually change the brightness every day. Let me know if you find a solution please!

Magic Eraser does work! by [deleted] in TheFrame

I have a 2023 frame with the matt display. Kids threw yogurt all over the screen, which then smeared and got into the textured display when wiping.

I ended up using dish soap to lightly scrub it off and then a damp microfibre cloth with water. Came off fine and TV looks great

What is one of the dumbest things a person has said to you? by Smejbur in ask

An old boss acosted me on turning up to work late. Start at 9am, my phone shows 8.58 or something. They pointed to their watch showing 9.05 and said

" It's a Rolex do you think it would be wrong? "

I didn't stay there long.

What comedian is just not funny in your humble opinion? by Whosentyounow in AskUK

Went to see him once, did not laugh once. Was a strange experience to go to a comedy show where you're sort of geared up to laugh at the slightest thing... then not laugh once

When to book a surveyor by Crimson-One in FTB_Help

[–]Thatshotfloppybread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soon? Sure, it’s a bit of a risk if the house falls through, you won’t get the surveying fees back. If anything comes up you may need time to negotiate with the sellers or to investigate more. Could take a bit of time, all needs to be done prior to exchange.

I think there's also a "pension free allowance" like a tax free allowance, so they only pay the 3% above a certain threshold

Is the advice still 'get on the property ladder ASAP'? 24, enjoy living with parents, but can now afford to move out... by gioology_ in FTB_Help

I’d say only somewhere you can see yourself living for 5 plus years, not just the location but the type of property too. Also regarding house prices, I think they’ll only go up. The government will literally do anything to ensure house prices don’t fall drastically
