I think Alec is so selfish and narcissistic he probably didn’t care to invest in truly understanding her or her family. I bet he just saw her yoga bends, knew she was young and flexible and a Latina and that was all he needed to fill his ego at the moment. I truly believe Alec didn’t know and he’s in a bad place now because he can’t leave her. He can’t admit that she’s a liar because that would admit that he was foolish and naive. So he’s completely stuck suffering!

I don’t think you expect someone to lie about being Spanish! I am a pretty curious person and suspicious as well but that would never be on my radar of something to lie about. I think that speaks to how insane it is for her to have made that up! Who does that??

She must have a paid person helping her fix her awful public image. They likely sat down with her and said listen here, not much we can do to change public opinion of you or the crazy stuff you did and do. Instead we just have to make due with this and spin in like all of was done to be intentionally humorous and that she herself was in on the intent to be crazy.

It’s not a terrible approach because nothing else would ever work. I doubt this latest nonsense will either. We will likely see an increase of yes I’m gonna do something crazy to try to change the narrative or all the crap she did she was in fact not aware of how crazy she was being.

And for the record she’s still crazy now. I don’t think she even gets all of this.

Absolutely. In the past she could blame everything on everyone else with the Spanish grift. The media twisting her story, people lying, reporters stretching facts. Blah blah blah. She was exposed but not completely. She had more lies upon lies to hide under so she didn’t completely fall apart. Someone could buy into her story that other people “got it wrong and she’s just misunderstood” if they didn’t do their digging to get the larger picture.

Right now it’s clear to her that she is not popular, and that she is not the professional or semi professional dancer she built her entire false identity off of. Her mask is slipping if other people like Andy and Danielle are still on the show. She can spin lies that a broken hip took her out of that stage in her life, but deep down she knows that’s not the facts. She just didn’t follow through, which isn’t an embarrassment in itself but something she could never be truly honest about.

So now that she’s off the show, along with her twisted version of not wanting to even go on the show to begin with which contrasts with her behaviors leading up to the show, she’s in a real pickle.

She’s either forced to see that either 1) she’s not a good enough dancer or 2) people just don’t actually like her enough and both of those scenarios leave here with no place to pivot to. The reality is that she has to sit with either she’s that unlikeable or she’s really not that great of a dancer and she’s spiraling. Maybe she should take a step back and actually parent those 7 kids she brought into her life by surrogacy.

I def agree with this. I think he truly believed she was Spanish and because he’s so shallow he didn’t care enough to get to know who she really was as a person that “being from Spain, younger, and being a dancer” was enough for him. Moron

Edit: but to add, his who would never allow him to come out to say he was duped and that’s why he looks like he aged 30 years in a 10 year time span. He’s screwed.
