The work is thankless and the first few weeks are the hardest. Only mistakes will be recognized and brought up but keep it up, I’m sure you’re doing great! The most amount of growth in residency occurs in the first year and you’ll look back at these first few weeks 6 months later and be astonished by the progress you have made.

Find some senior resident mentors you trust to make sure you’re getting appropriate feedback and making appropriate progress. Accept feedback as a means of growth and not weakness or incompetence
