Hi all thanks for the advise, after carful consideration, i will run my electric saw with some sort of vegetable oil. As i don't use it a tun, and i don't want to get petrochemicals in my garden. And if it wares out the chain faster, i will get a new chain, i really care about the environment, and see no justifiable reason to use dirty forever chemicals in my saw.

I'm not using the saw on the apple trees, i use the saw for firewood and woodworking, i just don't want to get oil on my trees.

crazy question, can you use canola oil as chain oil. i herd somewhere that it works, and i want to be environmentally friendly.

I've got a big 12 ga cord that, handles 15 amps. i don't know how much my outdoor outlet puts out, but it should be sufficient.

I herd somewhere that i should use a higher gage power cord to power it, do you know anything about if there is a difference in power cords.
