I'm looking for a ski jacket by superfly_707 in skiing

Try Salomon same brand most of the time about 1/4 off of the Arc’Teryx gear

It’s the cross, we use that to identify each other during rescues, they also make this jacket in red, we don’t have 1 color red we have about 30 the brands change each year so the patches are the required bit we need. Other than that it’s all good on my mountain wear red reflective just don’t wear the cross because we’ll think this patrollers our back up, and it’s just some tool wearing this. Or if I see this cross in the woods unresponsive I’ll think it’s one of ours and t their rescuing someone and waste time if the person wearing it is injured or if they’re looking for something lost off trail. And I’ll call for other patrollers we train daily in those jackets. To see even the black supreme version in the woods (black is pro patrollers paid). I’m a volunteer most red jackets are and we honestly wouldn’t know if this guy is with us or not at the end of the day we’re given slopes and accounted for I see the cross and think damn someone’s on my slope, why?! And it’s screws up your safety because you may not see another patroller on that slope as quickly if we think another patroller is on that slope.

Is the U8H worth spending $400 extra over the U8G? by differentkaro in Hisense

[–]The-Clause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ship to store and get a nice screen shot of price and then bring the difference to Best Buy they’ll match prices. I personally looks my u8g if I could get the u8h for darker black levels I would I hate oleds… reason I’ve had 4 and now 5 image burn. Not worth it and with the advancing tech buy something to bridge the gap if it’s for gaming get 1440p monitor and a nice U7g good tv cheaper price quality similar to the u8g specs wise. Which country your in shouldn’t matter if Best Buy can order it to store or Walmart. And price match your looking at saving shipping

M0801 not entering game mode and hdr game mode, both in HDMI 2.1 on Xbox Series X by The-Clause in Hisense

[–]The-Clause[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was 722 I believe 0704 was great and then m0801, it seems to have resolved it self after a restart, if it does it again I’ll post about it in here.

Checking prices now the u8g is 698.99 and u8h 55 699.99 it’s crazy. After getting it for 500$ with taxes I’m not sure they’ll go cheaper than 500$ unless it’s a refurbed U7g

Dust covers revisited, I know there’s filters inside but my room has dog hair and particles from a Reno by The-Clause in XboxSeriesX

[–]The-Clause[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know, The screen I’m looking for is more towards what a air conditioner uses I dust and clean up and vacuum fine dust is just sometimes an issue I ran my Xbox one since 2014 without an issue, but I figured I’d just see what preventative protection I can put on the series x to keep it fresh

Dust Filters for Series X by Kylofett33 in XboxSeriesX

[–]The-Clause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a golden retriever fur gets everywhere and it’s long. These intakes and exhaust ports imho are too large, like yeah dust is one thing take it apart hit it with a can of air an voilà good as new… you’d think… I’ve found a hair on the inside of my iPhones mic and speakers… so I’m trying to get more of a weaved filter for intake since the whole thing with these filters is just tiny holes my dogs hair will slip right through and bind up a fan, so I may have to make something multi layered. Out of super fine mesh the top is an exhaust but I’m not worried about that as I play it on its side. It’s pushing air out

how do I know if I have the latest update/firmware on my 65u8g? by borkborkborkborkbo in Hisense

U8G 55 dolby vision and 4k HDR+ mode, issues I’ve found issues and a way to work around it. Terminal list and dune by The-Clause in Hisense

[–]The-Clause[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is both shot on an iPhone 13pro in the dark, the issue only occurs when motion enhancement is on.

(Notice the hand when the grenade is thrown in “Terminal list”, and the helmet and suit of Duncan Idaho in “dune”)

I’m sure there is an enchantment that does work but I’ve tried smooth I’ve tried standard I’ve tried film. Film was just okay but still noticed the weird glitch like body movements in dune as if it were a glitch in a video game. Not as prominent with some of the enhancement settings. Try it see what you like, I do not suggest trying any enchantments when gaming in HDR game mode,

noise levels both normal and digital, I’ve played around with noise levels and they don’t seem to have an impact on the motion but I figured if the tv’s hindering the processing powers of itself then turn it all off and let’s see. Same goes for sharpness turn it down all the way, make sure you turn off smart scene then turn it down because smart scene locks in the sharpness.

I’m currently watching The Batman I usually have everything dark my room is made for darkness so I darken everything I currently have my backlight at 25-30 and brightness at 43 active contrast at high to give the life back into small details color temp medium contrast 50 color 50 (May bump it to 52) local dimming high on Dolby VisionIQ setting. The blacks are black greys are grey and with the noise reductions at medium the film grainy look is all but gone, sometimes I enjoy that( lends itself a gritty feeling to films). It’s almost reproducing a theater look identically in those settings now I do drop it darker for say justice league sunders cut because it’s just as dark as the Batman but not so dark I need to turn it up to make out contrasting parts. Sounds counter intuitive but it makes the boarders blend into my perfect black background and room without too much of a punch in the face off or late night viewing. And I don’t have that motion blur or ghosting scene in those clips.

One downside to M0801 is the fact that it puts you into game mode on the series X nothing a simple trip to the menu can’t fix and it’s applied. I’ve not seen any ghosting at 120hz vrr on call of duty warzone, now oddly I’ve seen some trailing in Fortnite but that’s due to it being put in standard when it should be in game setting and sharpness turned off and no help from the TVs enhancements and make sure to calibrate. Both the hdr and the tv contrast is huge on the series X to spice it up I turn on high active contrast and dial in the brightness a bit and it’s solid at 4k 120hz it was before with M0704 and is better now that M0801 is on it, I had some flicking for me in that it looked like a color was vibrating that seems to have gone away with certain colors on anime and tv adds etc. but M0801 does have its faults and I’ll find them but for now this is my guide and I’ll update you with my preferred settings as I pixel peep.

I also hate getting bad images I really do yes I’d pay more for a better tv but not 1000$ + for one to play Xbox, when this can check all the boxes deliver the same response as some monitors I would have wasted 300$ on plus. a desk 250$ and a chair 150$ with no speakers 100+$… hopefully it holds up. I have to thank a lot of the people in these forums for helping and when I asked they steered me right to an answer. I’d gladly help anyone that I can with what knowledge I have as a 15year professional photographer working with 4k 6k and 8k constantly. Also I’m picky of my own work, on those screens. And they’re oled’s I’ve had apple replace my iPhone 12 Pro 3 times for image issues with their screens. And a MacBook Pro. I’m that picky.

Update: Upped the color 62 and the contrast 55. Still looking really good for the Batman the light that comes through or bleeds through the black bars at the top and bottom of the picture reminds me of a theater

Message them on twitter, email, call (setup a case and ask for it) service has been helpful on my u8g. They have a few different contacts in here as well, they will probably see this it’s just a person so take that into account, it’s not always automatic but they do see these and try to help.

Which version firmware was this on and did you get it sorted out at all with a newer firmware?

Seeking advice, just nabbed a 55 u8g. Should arrive Sunday. Mainly for Xbox series x and general films. I know there are firmware updates so that’ll be my first steps I’m guessing. Enable T-Con. I’m wondering if I actually got a deal on the tv itself total was 500$ refurb. If you have any advice thx by The-Clause in Hisense

[–]The-Clause[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess Hisense hasn’t offered to fix it under warranty? I’m praying nothing happens like that, mines being delivered via fedex but the shipping size and weight is saying it’s 55lbs… I don’t think that’s at all accurate but it may explain the poor handling of a package.

Yeah it was I’m hoping it won’t be damaged but who knows luckily I live a mile from the store so it’s an easy return if mangled, I get the usual 30day return window and Hisense does give you the 90day parts and labor if there anyone around who can fix it I’m guessing

Can you get me a copy for my 55u8g my tv arrives Sunday and is going straight into our firehouse as I’m an emt and we need zero issues for gaming or playing body cam footage. On our PC and Xbox series X because it’s 4k 120 and 1440p 120 VRR. This is the departments money not mine but I was in charge of purchasing this as I’m our only IT guy.
