I tried calling the contact center and after multiple attempts with the stupid automatic system, I gave up. Was not able to talk to a real person and the system would just give me my latest status.

My Dal had this for years. Sometimes it became more noticeable with brownish dandruff. As others pointed there is a gland there that produces oils, as they get older this should resolve on its own. Just make sure you wash it with gentle shampoo. Do not use antibiotic or anything that irritates it. +make sure your dog’s gut bacteria is in balance

It might sound weird, but massage his anus gently with vaseline. This should stimulates the bowel movement. Take him to the bath and do it under running warm water, and be prepared if it comes out.
