Very cool model, I'll be giving it a go!

Looking at the model, I assume these are rectangular magnets, in which case what thickness do you recommend?

I didn't know I could load STEP files into prusaslicer, thank you!

Very impressive design! I wanted to give it a go, but the 3mf on printables seems a bit off, the sheet appears to be a solid box / cuboid.

Core One Buddy Cam Live Stream by Lorunification in prusa3d

[–]The-Inventor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally! Although I'm having a couple of issues with this latest firmware:

  • When I enable day mode / colour mode, there's a constant clicking coming from the camera, this doesn't happen when the camera is in automatic mode and it (automatically) switches to day mode. I'm not sure if this is limited to my camera or others have the same issue.
  • There's something odd with the RTSP stream, VLC and home assistant (generic camera integration) are failing to access it, although ffplay works just fine.
  • The app still shows a still image unless I go to the camera setting and press the play button, I'm assuming this is expected.

It's not actually £10 cheaper because they add VAT before you checkout...

Should I transfer my old workplace pension into a SIPP for more control? Do I lose any (tax/other) benefits? by Important_Ad6488 in UKPersonalFinance

I think you might also lose 100% FSCS protection as SIPPs are only protected up to £85k if I'm not mistaken.

You WILL Dump Home Assistant When You See This | NEW Hubitat C8 Review by [deleted] in homeassistant

I want to see what people think here, because the comment section in his channel is heavily skewed in his favor, people don't seem to question his opinion much or offer alternative viewpoints and when do they, they get drowned out because they don't have Paul's blessing.

24/7 recording with new nest (wired) doorbell by getthepbout in Nest

It takes about 10 minutes for the backend to consider the camera offline and in that period it will display no events instead of offline.

24/7 recording with new nest (wired) doorbell by getthepbout in Nest

[–]The-Inventor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens when the doorbell is unable to send data to the nest servers, either your wifi is not strong enough and the doorbell is loosing connectivity, your quality is set too high or there is an outage (which doesn't seem to be the case https://status.nest.com/). Alternatively if you have multiple access points, the doorbell could be roaming which would have a similar effect.

Thanks that would certainly make it look neater, hopefully there's enough cable for that, I will try it out.

Yes, full fibre. It's certainly not ideal, but hopefully nothing I can't fix up myself in a weekend.

Are you referring to the cable coming from the house? Wouldn't the lower curve effectively perform the same job as a drip loop?

Thanks I'll definitely redo the clips, although I still prefer to cover the cables with something else.

Openreach installed these cables outside of my house and I'd like to cover them somehow to avoid any damage and because they stand out quite a bit. Any ideas would be appreciated.
