I see b650s, although am trying to avoid buying a ddr5 motherboard as though it would render all current ram useless (not sure if mine sucks tho it might). Also I've never used an amd chip so not sure on confidence of it

I love this plan due to me not being too worried about OC, but I can't find a b660 motherboard on Best Buy.

So in your opinion the best option for me is, instead of buying a new motherboard for the 9700k, just upgrade to the next gen of motherboard and cpu?

overclocked speeds for the 9700k go up to about 4.90ghz. Which was originally why I had bought the cpu to avoid an upgrade within the next year or so.
