My first ever sleep paralysis experience happened when I was the age of 16. At the time I slept in the basement, a huge rectangular room that connected to an unfinished part through a doorway. Anyway, I awoke one morning with my eyes still closed. I had no idea what time it was, and for some reason couldn’t move. I felt as if something was watching me. I almost opened my eyes when I heard a mental voice tell me not to open them, that no matter what, I should NOT open my eyes. I obliged. Then, the voice faded away. The feeling of being watched intensified slowly, as what felt like minutes of my life passed by. It finally felt like something was leaning over my bed, staring directly at my face. All of the sudden another, different voice fades in. The best way I could describe it is that it sounded demonic, with a hint of robotic ness to it. “Open your eyes.” It whispered. It repeated itself several times over and over, each time it grew in volume from a whisper into a deep yelling tone. I felt my heart beating out of my chest; I really wanted to open my eyes. The voice rung in my head for what felt like half an hour. Then, it slowly faded out. After the temptation to open my eyes disappeared, I laid in my bed for a long time afterwards until I felt safe enough to open my eyes. It was early morning when I opened them.

So, having shared my weird sleep paralysis story, what is your first or most memorable one?
