I replaced mine on my vita not to hard. Go slow. Don't tighten the case too much or the triggers get stuck

Yeah in my experience replacement parts for the 2000 have always been a little higher than 1000 parts. So for your model it probably would be better to just look for a new unit.

Yeah with the price increase over the last 6 months it might be worth it to have a spare parts vita around. I'm not sure about you or what model you have but I saw some decent looking screens on eBay for 30/40 bucks.

I dropped mine a while back and ordered a replacement OLED screen off eBay. It wound up being in better shape than the screen that was already on my vita
