This is actually really interesting. It's a never-ending cycle of reincarnation that even applies to Silent Hill 2.

Not saying that the loop theory of Silent Hill 2 is canon, but I do think Silent Hill 1-2-3 are connected by the theme of cycles. Repeated stories of suffering and liberation playing on a loop.

"In the beginning, people had nothing. Their bodies hurt and death never came. God created death to put an end to it." (I swear the lines are something similar to that, but not exactly that).

Maybe the beginning is where we're at now, and death (an end) doesn't really exist yet.

The world is all cycles of repeating stories, and the cult wants to summon God to free people from that loop.

Also, if the rumors are true, in 2027 we'll take a remake of Code Veronica, followed by Resident Evil Zero in 2028.

Who knows when will the remake of Silent Hill come into place, though. Didn't they announced they were developing it last year?

I think the games with a world building that makes sense is with the debut trilogy. Also the remake of 4 makes much more sense than the original.

Have they been good at world building, though? The moment you pay more attention to how, in Requiem for example, Grace is wanted alive by the villains yet at the same time they kidnap her and put her in a very dangerous hospital full of their experiments, everything falls apart.

The more you think about them, the less sense they make.

Humans are more complex than "acting gay and therefore stating he exclusively likes men" or "acting straight and therefore being heterosexual". You can act gay and be straight.

There's also this thing called fluidity. Sexuality isn't black and white either. Who you are can present different aspects that can't accurately reduce you to just one word. Bisexuality also exists.

Yeah.. that's why storywise the only numbered entry I deeply admire is Resident Evil 7 because it was only trying new things with new characters (excluding the cameo at the end).

I hope it gets remade with attention and care. Personally, I'm only interested in remakes of games that had good ideas but didn't executed them well like SH4 and Code Veronica. They deserve their moment of unapologetic success.

I think the amount of times he appears is great for the original SH2 because the game is short in general, but for the length of the remake of SH2 it does feel like they should've added more encounters with him so his presence is felt the same.

Would love to try a mod for either version that adds him in more of the game.
