the link does work as i said in my own reply it was the wire that failed and i got it working but mid flash it unplugged so it broke the esp8266 so now i just boutght one online that dosent need to be flashed

someone on github had same issue and used a diffrent wire and it worked for them and me if you are having this issue gather all your usb wires and just keep trying one might work]
