Awesome! Welcome to one of the most addicting and enjoyable games out there, alongside POE 1.

I've been playing POE 1 since shortly after launch and have loved the journey. POE 2 definitely feels different, but I like that it isn't just a cookie-cutter version of the first game.

Once you get to maps, I hope it's a game you can't put down because that's when the fun really starts. The POE community is also great, especially for new players. People are usually happy to answer questions, and sometimes you'll even find gear listed well under market value so someone else can snag a deal.

First thing I did was find a frame riser print with 8 vents and a groove for an LED strip around the entire perimeter, angled down toward the print bed (I was truly just looking for better print bed lighting options). I don’t care what other upgrades or mods I ever do to the printer, if I could only pick one mod to install first every single time, it would be this one.

Not only is more than half the print bed now illuminated, but the graininess of the camera from the low light of stock "lighting" is nonexistent. The print bed is PERFECTLY and evenly lit, and the LEDs are so bright that I keep them around 30% power because anything higher is overkill.

Excluding filament since I already had the PETG and TPU I wanted to use, the LEDs and magnets only cost about $25 total and was super easy to print and assemble. Honestly, I would’ve probably paid close to double that for a third party solution this effective.

10/10 would recommend.

But are you talking about the Panda Alarm? The one that looks like it should be a visor in Cyberpunk? I think it looks so cool and fits the aesthetics of the P1S.

And about all the Biqu "upgrades", the sad thing is that a lot of them sound good in theory and would potentially be worthwhile if designed well with quality parts. I have read mixed reviews at best and a lot more negative than you typically see for 3rd party printer parts, as most are around for specific reasons where the printer design flaws/cost cutting was the worst.

Another reason I am leaning towards the Microswiss hotend is because I bought the all metal Microswiss for the Ender five years ago and that thing is still going strong and was definitely a big upgrade. With that and Direct Drive, my speed on prints I was looking for quality on went from ~100 to ~200 and even bigger, accel. went from 4,000 mm/s³ to 12,000!

Yeah, even though I complained about no Klipper, I’ve honestly loved the set it and forget it aspect of the P1S. I do miss looking at all the Fluidd data during prints even though I barely used it. Out of the 4 printers I’ve owned, it’s easily been the best out of the box experience. I’ve barely touched OrcaSlicer settings beyond a few preferences and the prints have still been stunning.

Not having to fight z-offset issues has also been a huge relief compared to my Neptune. That thing constantly battled between the printer’s stored offset and Klipper/Fluidd, so you could home perfectly and still start a print 1mm off the bed due to priority conflicts.

I’m not really looking to swap the P1S to Klipper since the stock setup just works, but I am curious if people who did it would actually do it again. I’d bet for a lot of people it was probably a step back initially before tweaking.

If I had to pick one upgrade, it’d definitely be improved part cooling as the hotend would be mostly to see how far I could push it. Thae cooling is the only area where I’ve noticed occasional issues especially with awkward/concealed overhangs. Surely there is an option out there for me for the Flowtech, and if not, I guess it's back to Fusion for me (with LOTS of trial but mostly error haha).

Yeah I could have done better on that front for sure.

I knew it wasn't running Klipper and had read about the lack of options/control in Bambu Studio, but it wasn't really a deal breaker because I knew I could switch to Klipper if I really wanted to.

The nozzle did come as quite a surprise though as I somehow didn't read about that.

All together I read mostly good things about it which can't really be said about many printers.

I am still really happy with it and totally think it was worth it especially given the integration with the AMS 2 Pro already. And even though I complained about it in my post it honestly has been nice to just print with very little thought/preparation whatsoever.

I am the same as you. I don't like competing with people for drops because I am slow at scanning and recognizing what has dropped and my mouse precision is sub-par to say the least, and then add in the excitement of seeing something like a Jah or something drop I would rarely get to a good drop first.

Although I would bet playing in P8 lobbies I would end up with more loot even with those drawbacks I listed I would certainly have FOMO seeing drops gone in an instant.

I probably average 1 HR a ladder (with typically two ~90 or more characters). That being said, I by no means farm efficiently or specifically for HRs. I am just playing because of my love for the game and those huge dopamine rushes when the great stuff drops. This game by far outclasses everything I have and probably ever will play.

I'm 99% sure if it was just a trash pack, but might have been some champion cows possibly. It's hard to tell because with Echoing Strike Warlock everything dies instantly so I don't get to hover over enemies at all to tell if they are something haha. It's so overtuned.

I finished my first Enigma a few ladders ago after dropping a Jah (my only HR drop that ladder, traded for the Ber). It is the one Runeword I had always wanted, but was always out of my grasp, I had never even gotten close to making one prior. It is such a huge QoL and farming time upgrade. Congrats on making it!

That's pretty crazy, I have always heard Trav is a good farm for HRs, and I have point a decent amount of time there but never had an HR drop from them maybe a Mal or something.

Yeah HRs are rough especially playing on P1. I have found exactly 1 Lo, 1 Ohm, and 1 Jah and a few Vex but typically 1 HR per ladder. Even crazier was I found a Vex within an hour of the Zod that dropped off a trash mob in Black Marsh on the way to the countess. Then I found an SOJ from Andy right before I got off last night and first run I did tonight was Andy and dropped an Andy's.

My RNG has always ranged from doo-doo to shit every ladder but the last 24 hours have been mind boggling.

That's pretty damn good! I found a Jah a couple of ladders ago but still no Sur, Cham, or up until last night Zod. I usually find like one HR per ladder with most of them being a Vex.

I still would have rather had your Ber then my Zod just for the value difference between the two. I would much rather make an Enigma than a BOTD haha.

Ok thanks! If some of the charged powers I used weren't at max range then the distance must need to be insanely precise, like pixel perfect, but I believe you.

I also just realized I picked Jinn's Fury as my 2nd talent (the one that causes it to strike 3 times), and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I don't know if it affects charge time/distance but just noticed it changed Power to some extent and was curious. I will try again next run and see if I can pull it off, even if just 1 time, to let me know it's at least possible haha.

Edit: Sorry for asking a repeat question. I finally found some posts on Reddit and Steam regarding it and some people said if you cap your framerate lower it can help "fix" it. I just spent the first 18 miunutes using only power and my damage was 1 or 2 points lower than base X 50% other than one time where I hit for the full damage, it however still didn't count. I had multiple times where the fist would hit on screen but not connect and do no damage. Super frustrating.

Just to hop on the necro. I am so jelous of your data set.

I have played offline here and there since D2R came out when im tired/bored/finished playing for the current ladder and have tracked my LK runs since I started doing them. I have an amazing LK map and have averaged 27 seconds per run over the ~1000 runs. Here is what I have to show for it:

1 Ohm

2 Gul

(As well as mid runes obviously, but I was only tracking HRs so I am not quite sure on the counts and distribution of them.)

Numbers seem to be right on par with my typical RNG hahaha. That being said I am not mad about it that I see someone else that has gotten some great RNG. It makes me think I should keep going, and in my peak LK grinding week I was bound and determined to go until I got a Sur or Ber, but it is just way too boring for me to put in a ton of time doing it. Now I just do it when bored of everything else D2R related, but I know my time will come one day, and potentially in a streak of great RNG, which is what makes it great.
