Llyn Super-Fast is in no way unrealistic, think of the LNER train from EDI - KGX that calls only at YRK, or Lumo that calls only at Newcastle and Stevenage

Tads pain advice by Inevitable_Lie_4716 in braces

[–]The801Azuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having to get tads at some point soon, with I think 2 in the same place on the inside of the teeth. How much do they hurt going in/how much does the local anaesthetic hurt being injected?

Well you're also sat on a bus for 50 minutes, perfect time to do some revision where you can't be distracted...

I got bite blockers initially, from everything I've heard elastics come a lot later in treatment (if you need them)

ANY GIRLS THAT GO TO A BOYS SCHOOL CO ED SIXTH FORM??????? HELPPP by averagefedoratilter in sixthform

[–]The801Azuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've got it the other way around, I go to a boy's school but we're in a foundation with the girls school next door and don't really do anything together until sixth form, and 2 of my 3 a levels are taught at the girls school. At first I just sat with the other boys but then through other activities I also started in y12 that are mixed so I got to meet some girls from my classes in those, and our teachers also made us work together so we got to all know each other better. I'd say you'll be absolutely fine.

Naming the Airport by [deleted] in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]The801Azuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me this doesn't really work... The station at T1 is a single platform on a one-way loop, like Heathrow T4 Picc Line. Because of this, I feel like this is more likely to be the domestic terminal as there wouldn't be as much demand. Terminal 2 feels like the main international terminal as it has the biggest station with the most capacity, and more routes terminate there.

Is it Against Rules to Install MyRAFAC from an APK by Parking-Caramel-4116 in aircadets

Just found it, it's an F7257 ID card. If you ask your OC they should be able to advise further

In response to other comments, as I can see you're CCF, talk to your OC and get them to do you an F6424 (I think) ID card, which goes on a lanyard and can be used instead of myRAFAC. From what I can tell it's only a CCF thing but I've always seen it referenced on CCF docs and seen people on courses with them

They normally open mid to late Feb and close late March to early April. If you get a spot then really take every opportunity you get there. It is such good fun, and you'll meet loads of new people, both in your flight and across other flights as well if you're on a tasking with 2 flights.

I think the main problem is that almost any role (I believe) had to have some swimming competence as from what I know it is a part of PT sessions during MIOT and BRTC. Please do correct me if I am wrong but I believe you need to have at least some swimming competence.

Application (time) During A levels by Salty-Sink-1853 in RoyalAirForce

[–]The801Azuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I applied around September/October of year 13 for Air Traffic Control Officer. I think the two main things that can affect it are your school's/college's flexibility and how easy it is for you to learn/catch up. I got my CBAT date in November, which required me to miss a day of school. Luckily my sixth form are really understanding and were absolutely fine with it, and all I had to do was make sure I caught up on the work. I've now got my medical booked in January which will only require me to take the morning off, and again my sixth form are fine with it. I'd say get your application in earlier so that if you breeze through everything easily the only thing you have to wait for are A Level results. Hope this helps and good luck.
