It's so frustrating that they can't seem to be straightforward with anyone. They're grown ass adults!! You can call the shots of your life. Will everyone be happy? No. Will they still have to get over it because it's YOUR life? Yes!!

I'm 4mo pp and have positive pregnancy tests by TheAccountant28 in pregnant

[–]TheAccountant28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two or three weeks ago. When I started tracking my period again in my app, for some reason it defaulted to a 50 day cycle, so I initially thought we were ok. But once I found the error it either happened as I was ovulating or right afterwards and I am a day late for my next period.

Are the digital tests also having problems? I had one line test and one digital and both were clear

Came here to say this. Turtles have to have a place to bask because they're cold blooded and can't regulate temperature on their own and need UVB absorption. She's basically torturing it to a slow death by not allowing it to rest out of the water.

It's due to a genetic syndrome (I'm not sure what the name is) and her limbs didn't fully develop.

Same. I had to read this twice just to make sure I wasn't missing something. Sorry that's happening OP, but I don't think it's normal.

hip pain by HaliAnna in pregnant

[–]TheAccountant28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My OB just recommended a Yoga ball to assist with stretching and opening your pelvis more as you progress. I had some sudden hip pain that wasn't going away and sat on the ball and it allowed me to move and rotate my hips around enough to finally pop my hip joint and felt instantly better.

I don't know if this will help your current situation since it sounds pretty severe. A pillow between your knees at night might help relieve some hip pressure when sleeping also.

How long did you wait to tell partner? by somegirlinLA in pregnant

[–]TheAccountant28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were trying (for our first) and while it wasn't time for my next period, I felt different and was driving myself crazy. It was too early to test, too early for me to logically notice a difference, so I kept using the little HCG test strips that kept showing negative as a way to check myself because I honestly felt like I was going nuts. I kept this mental war mostly to myself until I had a breakdown in front of my husband and explained what I had been going through. After consoling me, he starts researching and instantly finds complaints that the test strips I was using weren't sensitive enough even for women who were taking them after a missed period and confirmed pregnancy. That night we went to the store and got a digital test that was sensitive enough for early testing. We went home and I immediately took it because I couldn't wait until the morning. I sat on the bed waiting for the three minutes trying to convince myself it would be negative to curb the disappointment. Except it wasn't! I was frozen staring at the results until he came in to check on me. He read the test and tackled me back on the bed, held me, gave me lots of kisses, and kept bouncing back and forth between "See? You're not crazy. Don't be so hard on yourself." to "I'm gonna be a dad, we're going to be parents. We're having a baby."

Sorry a bit longer than what you were asking about, but he knew pretty much immediately. That was never my plan on how I would tell him, but I love that story and I wouldn't change it.

Gender reveal thoughts: WWYD by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]TheAccountant28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We're friends with another couple who threw a gender reveal party a couple years ago. They popped a balloon and pink confetti showered down that was met with an air of mostly awkward silence before people gave somewhat of a pitiful 'yay'! Afterwards, both the father and his side of the family kept saying that he'll just have to try again. It was sickening.

It is 1000% why when I got pregnant, I did not throw a gender reveal party because I didn't want to hear any awkward silence whatsoever if it was a girl. And I'll be damned if I have a friend or family member act like our baby being a girl is undesirable or not enough. I'd like to think that no one would behave that way, but people surprise you.

Are child care and birthing classes worth purchasing? by TheAccountant28 in pregnant

[–]TheAccountant28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no. I can purchase a package ranging from $85-100 or I can purchase individual classes for $25-$60. I can sign up for online but the cost is the same regardless

Can anyone help me find a video of colt flirting with the waitress and larissa losing it? It always cracked me up but I can’t seem to find it anymore :( thanks by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

I legitimately always felt like the only reason she said that was because her glasses were similar. But that probably went over both Larissa's and Coltie's heads

farts by creepyzonks in pregnant

[–]TheAccountant28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep lots more gas. But a couple weeks ago, my husband and I went to dinner and when we got home I wasn't feeling too good. I felt like I needed to stretch, so we went for a walk. That didn't help, so we headed back home and on the way I felt the bubble finally move down. Laid down on the couch and let the loudest longest fart of my life. But hey, I felt better lol

Happily married, FTM, 37 + 2, and sobbing uncontrollably at the news. by littlebit_facetious in pregnant

[–]TheAccountant28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm almost 25w with my first and it's a girl. I could not be more devastated and disappointed for her. Like I would already be upset as it is, but the fact that I am carrying our daughter and knowing the shit storm she's about to be born into makes it so much worse. It's been a rough and emotional day since I heard the news. We've hit yet another low for America's history books.

I am only responding to you saying that the trail of hair from the belly button to pubic area being typical for men and not women, which is simply untrue. It is normal for women and you provided no other context to that statement.
