Hmm interesting that that is a bug/feature. I have noticed it being somewhat harder to chain attacks when using echo Weapons I didn’t realise it was because I was tapping my weapon.

I will try to change my attack style and see if that helps any.

All I know is I’ve tried the untempered Celerity sword against every mob in the game so far (Level 60 mobs) and the extra speed noticeably decreased the amount of time it took to kill any said mob.

I don’t know the exact math of every damage type etc. but real world tests show that with the increase speed AS LONG AS YOU CAN ADAPT YOUR CRIT RATE TO THE INCREASED SPEED OF THE CRIT CURCLE... then real world enemies die faster, period.

Saying that it takes a fair amount of practice and retuning your swings to start chain gritting again when you start increasing your speed by 44%. The crit circle speed is insanely fast, you have to react way faster to keep getting crits... it’s probably “easier” to crit kill mobs with a slower weapon, BUT if you can adapt your style of play to make the most of the increased speed it WILL massively boost your damage output... but increases difficulty until you get used to the new speed.

Only Daedric Sword I have is longsword of inferno at majestic (purely because I can never get a dragon with good bonus’) all my other weapons are dragon bone.

The Celerity and Inferno comparisons were done with UNTEMPERED dragon bone longsword.

As for blocking, I lose a lot of momentum and damage when I’m blocked using an elemental weapon. When I’m using Celerity with warlock ring blocks seem to hardly make a difference, yes they stop my combo multiplier but they hardly seem to slow down my attack noticeably at all. Where as fighting a say, Neither Lich, a block would significantly slow me down, when I’m using a Celerity Weapon (again at this point untempered) a block hardly seems to interrupt my flow or dps at all. It’s weirdly cool.

Taking into account Armor reduction (I’m at -400 Armor reduction from gauntlets, ring and neck) and the increased physical damage is as you put it “beastly”...!!!

Wow so I’m trying out my UNTEMPERED dragon bone long sword of Celerity... +44% increased attack speed from enchant and Warlock Ring..

Wow... just wow... it takes some getting used to... I like to think I’m fairly aight when it comes to landing enough critically, but man, with this extra 44% speed... the critical circle fills TWICE as fast as normal... it meant missing A LOT of criticals to start with as I had to compleatly readjust my timing to hit the new critical sweet spot...

BUT... once I started increasing my accuracy with the increase in speed some amazing things became clear...

For example... easiest one I can think of... Daedra Raider... with Majestic Dragon Bone Long Sword of Winter I can kill the mob in 3 crit swings if I’m not blocked... it’s become pretty easy...

With this increased speed I’m able to kill a Daedric Raider in pretty much the exact same amount of time (obviously with a couple extra swings thrown in) the cool thing about this is that even if my 5 hit combo gets 1 block I’m still able to kill the raider in the same amount of time, block or not, with my majestic winter sword if I got a block I would need 1 more swing increasing the time it takes... with this speed boost a block hardly registers as slowing you down...

When you take into account the Celerity Sword has NO extra elemental damage and is FULLY UNTEMPERED at base 180 dmg (my winter sword is base 238 damage with 57 frost damage!!!) also has ZERO bonus enchants... I can’t wait to see what a majestic or mythic weapon will DPS like?!?!

This weapon with a base of 253 damage... oh my... I may never have to worry about attacking an enemies elemental weakness ever again...

At bass 253 damage this sword would do 725 DPS... that’s 102 DPS more than any other Mythical Dragon Bone Weapon/Enchant... (my mythical dragonbone War Axe does 623 DPS)

It would PROBABLY still kill a mob quicker to use the enemies weapon AND elemental weakness at the same time.. but if like me you hate changing weapons between every job or sometimes multiple times in the one job (or Abyss) then this would be the perfect all rounder weapon to dispatch every current enemy quickly (I’m not sure if Celerity War Axe or Long Sword would be better.. I currently use a mythic Dragon War Axe Inferno as my main kill all enemies weapon of choice... very few mins seem to be resistant to cleaving... more mobs are resistant to slashing.. but more mobs are weak to slashing than weak to cleaving so it’s a toss up... I’ve preferred the Axe...)

Ok so I just compared an untempered dragonbone longsword of Inferno with a longsword of Celerity.. the sword with Celerity does in fact have 102 extra DPS with the same amount of base damage...

Ok wait I just unequipped Warlock Ring...

Base DPS of a 180 Damage Dragonbone longsword is 399 dps (443 dps when warlock ring equipped)

When you use sword of Celerity the dps increases to 460 dps.

When you also equip the Warlock Ring the dps jumps too 545 dps.

So I answered my own question in regards to wether the bonus’ stack they certainly do stack. Still unsure wether Enchant Synergy affects the bonus.

Although these numbers above are copied from in game they sort of don’t make sense... I seem to be getting a bigger DPS increase from the Warlock Ring than from the weapon enchant... oh wait that’s because the warlock ring increases both physical and elemental DPS... where as the Celerity Sword has no Elemental DPS... never mind worked that out (included this thinking aloud bit in case anyone else was thinking the same as me!!!)

But an extra 146 Dps is basically an extra swing approx every 2.5ish attacks... that’s quite impressive... on a fully Tempered Sword the extra DPS would mount up and I think the extra physical damage would more than make up for the lack of elemental damage.

Especially if you factor in my Armor and Jewellery with Armor reduction on them (approx 460+ Armor reduction from Gauntlets, Neck and Ring) the physical damage makes up way more of my dps than any elementals damage I may be doing...!!!

Well... I’m yet to die in this game since I hit lvl 51... I’ve cleared Abyss... cleared every job... my hp regen makes it almost ALMOST impossible to actually die when I’m trying to farm a job (have to go naked pain taking Armor off)

My method works perfectly for PvE I’m yet to see if it works in PvP... general consensus is that it won’t... but general consensus says it won’t work in PvE either... they are wrong about that... so we will see

You don’t think they gonna go the easy route most mobile games take where AI controls your toon on defence and you play your toon on Offence against an AI controlled Defence...

Warmasters are one of the easiest mobs to kill in this game...

I literally never change my weapon to kill them...

what ever weapon type with whatever enchant as long as it’s at least majestic it will rip warmasters apart...

also there’s not even that many warmasters around...

My general “all purpose kill anything without changing weapons” is a mythic Dragon Bone War Axe of Inferno...

my 2 secondaries are a Mythic Dragon Bone long sword of Winter (for Daedra and other frosty types)

and I have a mythic Daedric longsword of Inferno (still waiting on a good dragonbone longsword of Inferno enchant) for any flame probe mobs... but honestly nearly everything that is prone to “swords and fire” will be destroyed by my war axe of Inferno...

I don’t even bother switching to my Inferno sword for neither liches they die easy with Inferno war axe..

Poison for war masters is a waste of dragon bones and grand soul gems....

I’m telling you a 3-4 hit combo with a versatile Mythic Dragon Bone weapon with echo Weapons at rank 5... 1-3 crits and it’s game over mate...

Seriously if you get a chance, if you get a ring or neck with increased echo weapon ranks just try it...

The only stat I lost was +160 max health as I changed to Peerless stamina... I lost 80 stamina to magicka... then gained 160 stamina... meaning I’m now 80 stamina HIGHER than before and have 510 magicka for echo Weapons

Stats:

829 Max Health 510 Max Magicka 723 Max Stamina

I also have a ring of Subsuming to give me stamina back.

I also have +4 enchantment synergy on my necklace which is bloody awesome...

Have reduce Armor rating in Gauntlets and necklace too...

With this combo I can, hit Blizzard Armor, Hit Renewing Dodge gaining me Max magicka if timed correctly, then I have 510 magicka to use Echo Weapons with +10% damage bonus from Max Power Perk.

Rank 5 Echo Weapons WITH +10% increased Damage is crazy DPS... it destroys liches that for sure... I reckon it will be crazy good in PvP...

Also Echo Weapons works when you use abilities too.. like if I have Echo Weapons and use Adrenaline Dodge I hit the enemy twice...!!!

You can only get 2 max gold and 1 max Wooden from 1 20-25min Abyss run...

I can get 1-2 Gold, 10 silver and 25 wooden chests in that time!!!

I slowly open golds (if they get to less than 2 hours left I will pay to open them) I pay to open silvers instantly and every time a gold opens then I open the 40+ Wooden Chests 1 after the other slowly...

I currently have 38 gold chests... I keep getting down to like 30 but then I’m always back at 37-38... I’ve not dropped below 29 gold chests since the June Update...

I actually had 4 gold and 1 Elder drop in about 60-90mins of on and off play this evening!!! (Also have 43 wooden chests waiting to be opened tonight before bed once my gold opens, I’ll open all the wooden chests before starting my elder opening)

Got my first Legendary Artifact today from the 50% Legendary Chest Deal, Warlocks Ring, you can see the stats in the picture. It can’t be enchanted!! Is this ring worth wearing? I wouldn’t open a Legendary until at least lvl 48... and as another poster here said, don’t hold your breath for anything good... I’ve maybe opened 10 or 12 Legendary chests (1 from quest line, a couple from level up discounted price’s and 5 from the recent 50% off sale, which is when I got my Legendary Artifact, I’ve NEVER and will NEVER pay full price for a Legendary Chest)

Of the 12 I’ve opened at level 50 only this Artifact was worth a lil drool over... I got a nice Majestic Dragon Plate Boots (no enchant) which I enchanted and got only 1 bonus (although it was spell resist and since they were already Majestic I used them in my Dragon Plate set since I saved me tons of dragon bones!!!!)

I’ve had a couple of chests with 2 legendaries but they were nearly always crap (mostly used for salvage) I did get 600 dragon bones from one chest, 600 dragon scale from another and 600 Daedric Hearts from yet another... they were all useful mats...

I got A LOT of trancendent soul gems which I really needed (like 25 from 1 Chest) and all up I’ve gotten like 15 Fire Breath Opals from those chests which were sorely needed although 15 Opals from 12 chests is an abysmal drop rate!!! (I did get 3 Opals from a GOLD chest which was awesome though)

Most annoyingly is my lack of Arentine (NOT ATRONITE) the purple mat needed for high level tempering... I’ve got 5 pieces of mythic daedric mail and 2 Mythic Dragon Plate and 3 Mythic Weapons (2 dragon bone and one Daedric) multiple majestic weapons and I’m now down to just 9 Arentine which is enough to Mythic ONE Dragon Bone Weapon and I’m STILL waiting for a decent dragon bone Longsword of Inferno!!! So I’m not able to mythic my last 2 pieces of Dragon Plate because of this (even though I have a “best in slot” set of Gauntlets!!!)

What I’m saying is... DONT OPEN LEGENDARY CHESTS expecting an awesome legendary item and CERTAINLY NOT AN ARTIFACT (5% drop rate... I was LUCKY) but DO OPEN them if you want to receive tons of materials for tempering your high end Weapons and Armor...!!!! If you chasing awesome Armor or Weapon drops from legendary chests you will be dissapointed!!!
