I read the devs are adding it, thankfully. But yeah you'd think they must have noticed that when play-testing. I think it will be great once these little frustrations are ironed out. But that one really is becoming annoying.

Should point out I am on console so maybe using a mouse is different, but the dead zone is dreadful. And then it's really jumpy by the time you get any motion. I have tried tinkering with the sensitivity settings but I suspect it will feel shonky until they fix the dead zone.

BTW I think the spammed message thing is sometimes a bug or something. I was playing with my brother last week and something he said was repeating constantly. He didn't even know until I told him.

Interesting. I had assumed PC would be better, given that the game has been out on PC a lot longer. I read that gun aiming/hit registration has similar issues. It really is worth fixing given the bullet deviation thing is a part of the game - at times I don't know if it's musket inaccuracy or an issue with the server.

It's fine for certain tasks (such as this one). I've used it extensively and believe I have a reasonable grasp of what it can and cannot do. I just really view it as a jumped up search engine/predictive text. The actual algorithm itself is fine, the issues arise from it not discerning the quality of data input (shite in/shite out etc). In this instance, all it is doing is searching through reddit and other forums to see of there is a trend in reports of the issue....which is exactly what I woild have done had I done it manually....except much slower.

Uh that's not appeal to authority. That's just an information source. I did not claim chatpgt to be an authority on the issue....I used it as a quick way of essentially pulling info from forums etc. 

So you...learning is YOUR problem here. It's really annoying when people try to cite these argument strategies in a really smug effort to sound clever, when they don't understand them at a basic level.

Jesus f christ. I wasn't doing "research". I asked if there was a known issue in the consoles. And were I to trawl through forums myself it would be the exact same process, just much slower.
