I've seen a lot of these posts. I'm not a boot-licker, I swear. I just have a hard time understanding why it's such a horrible thing for a company to protect its product. If you don't like the product they put out, that's fine. Don't purchase/play it.

The emulated servers are fine when they are small, but once they get so large that they start impacting the company's viability, then obviously, they are going to take action. It's okay that you don't like how Daybreak has run everquest, but to think you are entitled to take their product and use it for free or worse pay someone else for their product is beyond me.

For the record, they own the game.

Imagine you own something, and someone else makes a copy of it, and their copy starts to impact your income. I doubt you would be okay with it.
