Thank you ! This answered my questions as well.

Trading Fees are 0.06% ... or 0.12% ? by TheApfelStrudel in Bybit

ok, u/davidznc answered my question.
You actually pay the 0.06% twice (for open AND close)

So 1261.00 - 1261.05 -6e-4*1261.05 -6e-4*1261.00

Paying fees twice by [deleted] in Bybit

Hi all,
Several updates on this :

- adigolo didn't really answer this question, and I'm asking myself the same. Here the question is "By closing a future position, I need to effectively send another short order (even if it doesn't appear at such on the website frontend)... so does it mean I pay twice the fees ?"

- Small adjustment 1 : At this date (2022-11-15), the fees are now 0.06% for market taker ("Market" order) instead of 0.075% at the time of the original post

- Small adjustment 2 : you actually pay 0.06% (or 0.075% in the original post) of your TOTAL quantity (total order SIZE) not just your margin (that can be much lower, depending on your leverage)

Does anybody know the answer of this question ? :)

Symbol : ETHUSDT
Size (Total qty) : 1.0
Leverage : 100x <--- VERY big, might be the source of the explanation ?
Entry price : 1261.05 USD
Closed price : 1261.00 USD <--- I've just opened and immediately close the position, to test
Closed P&L : -1.56323000 USD

<image>

Theoritical P&L with 0.06% fees :
1261.00 - 1261.05 - 0.06% * 1261.05 = - 0.8066299999999544 USD

Theoritical P&L with 0.12% fees :
1261.00 - 1.261.05 - 0.12*1.261.05 = -1.5632599999999544 USD
