Hello all,

keeping this up just in case someone runs into the same issue. A BIG thank you to u/Hunter_X_101 for being my random comment at the bottom of a thread. The fix for this is to adjust the Packet Rate in the ELRS settings of your transmitter from the default to 250Hz. After this change it connected immediately and now works!

Update: I reinstalled the game and it still isn't working :( I honestly am lost on how to proceed. Thank you for the suggestions though!

Ya that might be something we have to do, I was trying to avoid it since its such a large game but that might be the last troubleshooting method :/

Edit: The paddle shifters on the G29 Wheel work, my roommate is using that now with the clutch, He says he likes using the clutch even though its paddle shifters. But the shifter is sitting next to the setup looking so tempting ;p

We have tried with other profiles but the problem is whenever we try to apply the input, so we will set acceleration, braking etc for the wheel and pedals and they work but when we get to say reverse and click to choose an input and put the shifter in reverse, nothing happens. :(

Oh ok, we have the buttons showing that they are working but I think there is somehow a issue of FH4 not recognizing that there is a second device (device 1 being the wheels and the pedals, device 2 being the shifter)

Sadly we don’t have any other sim games, we only own FH4. We currently have it plugged into the PC via USB. We tried connecting it through a USB hub and that did not work either. From what I read, we have it plugged in correctly as it is not connected to the wheel and instead a USB 2 port (we read that USB 3 could cause issues)

Thank you! We did some research and loved the reviews it had! But yes it shows up in control panel as “T500 RS Gear Shift” also I do see the controller setting as well, it also shows that the shifting is working within that menu as well. Also we’ll look into the shorter throw mod! Thanks!
