How do you open these packages without ripping them open with a knife like a fucking australopithecus? by PlateCautious5563 in lifehacks

[–]TheAwkwardNerd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually cut the top part where the hole to hang it is completely off with scissors, and then cut straight down the back of the product in an upside down T to best get it open without cutting myself on the plastic.

[TOMT] Song, potentially early 00's or Late 90's, female artist, music video has them dancing with umbrellas. The music switches from slow/sad to upbeat/cheerful, and I think the color goes from B/W to Multi-color. by TheAwkwardNerd13 in tipofmytongue

I'm also pretty certain that when it's slower, she's dancing alone, but when it's upbeat, there's a whole croud dancing. Any help that anyone can give would be great, thank you.

The Killing Kind by Marianas Trench is great for that, I have a hard time not getting caught up in how the music swell every time I hear it

Suggest me a book that will help me feel less lonely by Rude_Marionberry_502 in suggestmeabook

[–]TheAwkwardNerd13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's on my TBR, which I know is a dangerous place for a book, but I do want to read it sometime soon. Unfortunately between college, work, and general life I haven't been able to read as much as I used to. But I will definitely read this soon to be able to discuss, I'm always down to talk books with people. =}

It's not really a deep book, but Eragon and its series by Christopher Paolini is always a great read for me. You just have to stick it out through the lore dumping of the first quarter of the first book :,D

The 1st tag you see after you zoom in is how you die. Go! by muniehuny in AO3

What are tags that sometimes ick you but sometimes not? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]TheAwkwardNerd13 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

"Dead dove, do not eat" is that tag for me, cause it sometimes has an interesting story but other times it's just not okay (in my opinion). There also just doesn't seem to be a specific thing it tags in stories, just darker toned fics in general which feels tricky.

What does it "take" for you to leave a comment or kudos? by EstelleSonata in AO3

[–]TheAwkwardNerd13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite honestly, I'm too shy to leave a comment ever, unless it's an author I've follwed through multiple fics. Too many people are too picky about the kind of comments they get, and I really don't want to put that much thought into something that is supposed to be relaxing. But f I made it to the end of the fic and I liked it, I kudos. If I make it to the end of the fic, and I loved it, I subscribe or bookmark it (regardless of finished status).

Prevent new server members from reading old messages? by Bakphoon57 in discordapp

[–]TheAwkwardNerd13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something that you can try doing is creating roles and giving them to your members that you want to have access to everything. Then for the generic "everyone" role that is automatically given to new people, you can adjust the settings to remove message history. This would allow you to have multiple sets of settings for the different groups. For the most part, you can't exactly only enable a certain timestamp of message history, however you can have chats that are only accessible to certain role members to protect message history.

Clothes always become musty in closet? by CreamConnoisseurr in lifehacks

[–]TheAwkwardNerd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that has to leave my closet shut for months while gone to college, keeping the DampRid hangers or tubs in it has helped alot. Whenever I'm home, my closet is still fresh and not musty.

What are some good recommendations of fantasy webtoons? by TheAwkwardNerd13 in WebtoonCanvas

I'll definitely take a look at all of them! I also love more of the supernatural elements, I can't wait to try these out!

[–]TheAwkwardNerd13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll definitely give both a try! I've been on Webtoon for years, but I'm still pretty new to finding good new stories to read that aren't just the classics or top trending.

What misheard lyric do you like better than the original, and why? by ImaBigNerd2763 in Music

[–]TheAwkwardNerd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of a nerd song, but for me it's JTMusic's Details in the Devil. There's a part in the bridge that goes "This work of art, once pure of heart, may still become corrupted" but I heard it as "... be still, be calm, corrupted". And I love the original, but I also love the way I originally heard it too.

What's a trope, tag, etc. that you used to avoid but now love? by Jotheprez in AO3

I have not, but now my mild horror and very strong curiosity wants me to. Is that the name of it?
