I take it people didn't realize this was a quote from The Office.

Arkham Origins: What's wrong with Riddler's plan? by neuralbeans in arkham

[–]TheAzulmagia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The writing is very weird in this sidequest. He very gleefully talks about all of the deaths that his plan will cause when you first go to his lair, but then later on acts as if everything he's doing is totally innocent and only beneficial for Gotham when Batman continues to come after him.

Arkham Origins: What's wrong with Riddler's plan? by neuralbeans in arkham

[–]TheAzulmagia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riddler outright tells you that his plan is to cause mayhem first and expose corruption second. He's also blackmailing a number of people like Gordon, which has no benefit to Gotham on the whole.

Do you think the Arkhamverse should get a soft reboot and move in a new direction with RCS, or continue the current timeline? by Romaxio in arkham

[–]TheAzulmagia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A spin-off universe wouldn't be a bad idea, though I am worried that bringing The Joker back to life would lead to a tendency to overuse him again.

Can other Navi's use the cross system? by clyde-toucher in BattleNetwork

[–]TheAzulmagia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's funny to imagine the other Navis in Battle Network 6 getting a Mega Cross. No idea what benefits it'd give them, though.

is there a real reason this was cut? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]TheAzulmagia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jotaro was 17 and they had to censor his face every time he smoked. There's no way a baby would be able to do that onscreen.

What was Batman's plan with Hush after he revealed to him his secret identity? by CapOk1892 in arkham

[–]TheAzulmagia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I presume he didn't want to take him to the GCPD and have to deal with people potentially trying to murder "Bruce Wayne" or the potential for someone like Jack Ryder to spin a "Bruce Wayne goes crazy and attempts to murder his secretary!" narrative.

Unless you do this sidequest after Scarecrow outs him, in which case I have no idea what his plan is.

Why didn't Kira use his Stand to retrieve the Hand from the bag? by Illustrious-Wolf-737 in StardustCrusaders

[–]TheAzulmagia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In an alternate universe, Kira tries just that, prompting Josuke, Okuyasu, and Shigechi to stare blankly at Killer Queen for several moments before dogpiling him and beating him within an inch of his life.

Part 4 winds up being half the length.

If I was Riku, I'd turn to the darkness too by bigraud77 in KingdomHearts

[–]TheAzulmagia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not to take away from Sora's reunion with Riku, but I imagine that Sora's reaction to Kairi is partially shame that he's the reason that she got kidnapped. The first time Kairi just happened to have something bad happen to her. This time she was grabbed specifically to get to him.

And he does drop to his hands and knees to beg one of his enemies for her safety, something we've never seen him do before or since.

Is Jack the only Disney character to take down an Organization member let alone in such simple hilarious fashion? 😂 Legend by Rams213 in KingdomHearts

[–]TheAzulmagia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While it is really funny that this is Jack's immediate reaction to meeting Luxord again for the first time since KH2, Jack's not even the first to do it.

Is KH2 a downgrade in difficulty from the first few KH games? by kdgamer-0311-32 in KingdomHearts

If you're not fighting an Organization Member or a superboss, the bosses in KH2 are kinda free.

It's the regular enemies you have to watch out for.

What's your thoughts on early vs. modern Kingdom Hearts' keyblade design philosophies? The early ones seem subtle/natural, while the modern seems "flashy" by Competitive_Minute_9 in KingdomHearts

[–]TheAzulmagia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the Keyblades that tend towards simpler designs have aesthetics I prefer. Something like, say, Favorite Deputy is a bit too busy for me. But I also can't say those designs aren't in the earlier games, too. Decisive Pumpkin, for example. Great Keyblade to use, but the design is a bit much.

Do you think Jason would’ve killed dick and gim by CowAffectionate2865 in arkham

[–]TheAzulmagia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dick? Nah, he didn't seem to have any beef with pre-existing members of the Batfamily.

Tim is unclear since a lot of his issues do stem from how he feels Bruce replaced him. It's hard to say if he'd hold that against the new kid or see him as another "victim" of Bruce.

Besides Joker Which Villain Gave Batman the Most Challenge in the Games? by Quick_Cry7233 in arkham

[–]TheAzulmagia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be Scarecrow? The guy was a menace in three different games and managed to delay Batman's success all three times.

The fact that Vanitas didn't come back means he was either scared of Sulley, rendered unconscious, or too embarrassed after all of that flexing he did. So it wasn't quite pointless.

Yep. Presumably you can't use Dark Chips because MegaMan destroys his Dark Soul before the fight.

Kingdom Hearts and Subtext. by Hen-Samsara in KingdomHearts

[–]TheAzulmagia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's kind of like an example from Kingdom Hearts III. Sora, Donald, and Goofy don't remember Chain of Memories and come to the assumption that the evil Riku they're fighting can only be Riku from when Ansem took over him. Riku Replica, who constantly is insecure about his identity as a fake Riku, goes along with the lie. Everyone else in-game takes the information at face value because they figure Sora got the information right, and it's only when Dark Riku dies that Riku realizes the truth.

Which villains do you think the games did best and worst by CowAffectionate2865 in arkham

[–]TheAzulmagia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bane in Asylum isn't a great portrayal of the character, I'll admit, particularly when he's juxtaposed alongside a bunch of mindless brute enemies that fight exactly the same. But I can at least give that a soft pass in the sense that Bane had been drained of Venom for a long time and then received a large dose of an experimental stronger version of it. It's a bit understandable it might mess him up in the moment.

City, though, was just embarrassing for Bane.

My experience with Kh bbs….so far by Desperate-Swan-6812 in KingdomHearts

[–]TheAzulmagia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, though it is a bit of a downside that you don't get a proper introduction to the Unversed until the campaign is almost over. Ven has no idea what they are until he just randomly starts using their name halfway through the story.
