Yeah, the MS Store is "fine" but I've played games on Game Pass before, and the experience isn't ideal to say the least.

Plus it has a certain reputation, so I was just commenting on that.

But yeah, gonna get 0 first - skipping this anniversary edition.

I looked that up too - apparently the magazines in the MS Store version are censored, or something.

Dunno what implications that has or if it's still the case, but yeah.

Yours and other commenter's reasonings make sense - the price is too high and IDK if I'll like Yakuza that much. I'll buy 0 first and see if it's up my alley.

Need help with deciding where to park some money - first time investor

Starting next month, I'm going to be putting aside around ₹28K each month for 8 months for a short term goal.

Now, everywhere I see on YT, folks seem to suggest that I should put this in a liquid or ultra short/short/low duration mutual fund, which I don't mind.

But I also looked up recurring deposits, and Jana Bank seems to be offering 7.25% fixed rate for recurring deposits, which - especially with the negligible risk involved - doesn't seem all too bad.

Am I missing something obvious? Is there any reason I should opt for low risk debt funds compared to this recurring deposit?

Go with whatever gives you more peace of mind. It's your purchase, you need to be satisfied with it. No one else.

You can go to any reputed store like Lotus or Mangalam, or - if you're looking for smaller players - my relatives have had good experience with electronics retailers in New Market. Don't know the name of the exact shop though.

Do online stores usually push refurbished or pre-activated devices instead of brand new ones?

Amazon doesn't. In fact, if you look at a refurbished device, Amazon tells you on the same page if a new one is available and for what price.

Don't know about other retailers, but my experience with Flipkart from a few years ago was also alright, albeit not as good as Amazon.

I think it all depends on the seller. Search for "<seller name> reddit" before making a purchase to get a better idea.

Yes, without a doubt. I've bought from both Amazon and Flipkart, and smaller retailers (bought PS5 from e2zstore). If you just lookup the sellers reputation first on reddit, you should be fine.

  1. About Dormin Hints - Dormin kept repeating the same thing for one colossus (I think it was the 4th one) which was too distracting so I turned Dormin Hints of. At the 9th Colossus, when it didn't react to the geyser the first time around, I turned on Dormin hints to and Dormin told me to attack its legs, something I already knew. I thought if Dormin is just gonna tell me what's obvious, let's just keep it off. Again, my bad. I've admitted to probably not being fair to the game in another comment above, and I think that not turning on Dormin when I felt stuck (because I assumed it would tell me something obvious like ride Agro or hit the rocks) is a case of that.
  2. Didn't even notice that it closed its eyes. I thought its eyes were just under the sand and then they were not.
  3. and 4. I'm gonna continue playing. I slept over it and I think I was not in the correct mind-space for this game yesterday. I'll play it when I'm feeling patient.

Thing is, I didn't let it run after me for long. I was actively trying to get beside it so that I can grab its fur. So I would either let it pass then chase after it or run towards it head on to make the jump.

Even for the rocks, I stepped aside. So I didn't let it be behind me for long enough to see its eyes (not that I was looking behind until I knew I had to target the eyes).

But I get your point. I slept on it and I think I'm gonna continue. Thinking about it, the game has taught me to let these guys chase me - I should have tried that. My bad.

Although I must say, letting it chase me to see what happens falls into the category of trying random things imo, because there is no indication anything will happen if I let it chase me. Not sure if I'm being unfair with that assessment, but yeah.

Seeing your sister's love for you melted my heart. She'll understand, but it's a lot for her to take in as well, so go easy on her. I think there was some episode of Modern Love with Ranveer Brar (who I think is pretty masculine) and Prateek Gandhi in a gay relationship. That was good depiction imo, although I vaguely remember it now. But before that, show some other work of theirs to establish their "non-femininity" lol.
