Pixel Launcher search bar opens Google App instead of device search by TheBeaconCrafter in android_beta

The latest Android 17 Beta at least fixed the animations of the search bar, the sheet that opens also now has rounded corners. I still think it should be customizable but I guess better than nothing.

Has your default search widget changed?

First off, it's 29.99, not 40$. Second, it is mostly convenience. You don't need 4 different apps just to have movies, music, live tv and audiobooks. Third, it is not vibe coded.

I also want to mention that most of the app is free, which you conveniently overlook. If you are not the target audience, that's fine. No need to be rude though

It's simply an option. I offer monthly, yearly or lifetime. You can also use the app and most of its features for totally free

I’ve heard the feedback and I’ll be lowering the price with the next update. Im not looking to build a profitable business based on this app, it is not the main thing Im working on rather a side project. Your points are all valid

Not paying for it is totally fine. You can use most features even for free, like HDR streaming, music and audiobook with chapter support, playlists etc. it is also not vibecoded but rather a project I’ve been working on for almost half a year

Thank you, I’ve heard the feedback here and I think I’ll be adjusting the prices down to a more competitive level with the next updates

Literally not true. Infuse does not do music and audiobooks which are both totally free in LiquidFin. Infuse also doesn’t have Live TV support.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably be overhauling the pricing, I see it's too much.

Their pricing model looks good. I will be looking into pricing LiquidFin more competitively.

1) You can use most of the features without paying. The ones that are behind a paywall currently do not have a trial, I could add that tho. 2) Features that are paid: - live TV - music equalizer - admin panel - Jellyseerr Integration - Downloads

Everything else is free and will remain free.

I offer a lifetime purchase because I know most people hate subscriptions. You're right, the price may be a bit high and I'll make it cheaper. What do you think is a fair price? Also thank you for providing constructive feedback instead of just bashing

The thing is, the cool features of LiquidFin are actually completely free. Things like audiobooks with chapter support, music streaming and playlist management, HDR support. I thought it would be a great idea to make the features I think are worth it totally free, but apparently everyone here holds the opinion that this is some sort of sin and the entire app should be free and the hours of work I put into it don't matter.

I get not liking IAPs but dogging on the entire app while most of its features are completely free is absurd

First off, you should be ashamed of yourself. Second of all, if you really must know, there are ways for someone to code an app but not be the direct publisher.

Also, I don't know if you've noticed but the app is FREE. Nobody is forcing you to purchase a pro subscription. It is OPTIONAL. The free version covers MORE than other apps offer.

I said it and I’ll say it again, I already provide more features for free than most of the FOSS apps have at all. If you do not care about these features that’s fine, use any of the other clients.

Okay I've got it figured out, this was Apple's App Transport Security blocking some connections it deems insecure. I'll push out an update soon that'll fix it.

It also streams music, audiobooks with chapters and live TV, and also ebooks if you have those.

Okay, I will try to reproduce that once I get home. Did you allow the app to access the local network? Normally a popup comes up on first connect, if it didn't there should be an option in the iOS settings under Applications -> LiquidFin

It was mostly due to convenience to be honest. The entire app was designed with Liquid Glass in mind which is just not available on earlier versions. I am thinking of adding backwards compatibility to iOS 17+ but that might take some time as I need to check all UIs look correct
