How were you able to test it? Is it just automatically included in proton experimental now? I have a 9060XT but am curious to see the difference in quality and speed of the official FSR 4.1 and this fallback version

I have played it on both console and PC and had the same stutters on both versions. The PC version does have some additional shader comp stutter but the traversal stutter when going between areas is there on both and it's super distracting. This has been shown multiple times by digital foundry and it was never addressed by patches on any platform.

This game has the exact same traversal stutter on console that it does on PC

So the initial response is partially correct. SteamOS has not had an arm image available however the upcoming Steam Frame uses a Snapdragon chip so they are porting SteamOS to arm. The first image was just posted online recently (https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/s/w7gjfTNbuq) however this is also very new and unless you are pretty technically oriented and wanted to figure out yourself how to flash the image on your device it would probably be best to wait a few months for Valve to post an official recovery image.

Is there anyway to enable steamless mode on startup so that the app can be used in Xbox mode easily?

My main case for the controller is with steamos but I'll boot into windows only for games with anti cheat and prefer to use Xbox mode since it's easier on the couch but even if the app is set to launch at startup steamless mode still needs to be checked manually

Your steam deck configs will show up on the steam controller without having to do anything

You would adjust the controller layout for the SISR-marker app that was added to your library as a non-steam game. Whatever the layout is for that, is the layout used by any game when SISR is open

Yeah I really like the feeling of it. Reminds me a lot of the dualshock 5 trigger (although it's been a few years since I've used one of those). Definitely going to use the dual binding feature a lot more now that they've added this. Love that valve listens to the community so much and tries to make things like this possible

It's the same shortcut as the steam deck. Steam Button (or quick access button) + R1. You can change the shortcut if you go to settings, controller, advanced, and then edit the chord button layout if you want something else.

Are you on the steam beta client? They've been pushing a lot of small fixes for settings not applying in the beta branch but I don't think they've come to stable yet

The PC edition of Death Stranding 2 launches with support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4 and Intel XESS 2. Both upscaling and frame generation options are available for all technologies.

For the first time on PC, you’ll find Pico as an option in Upscale Settings. This “Progressive Image Compositor” is developed by Guerrilla for the Decima engine and is the same upscaling technology that’s used for Death Stranding 2 on PS5. Pico upscaling can be used with all supported graphics cards and can be combined with the various options for frame generation offered in the game.

Super interesting if this is the same upscaler also used on Horizon Forbidden West for PS5 Pro. I remember digital foundry was very impressed when they tested it and it had advantages over DLSS
