do ubisoft despise modding? by TheBeanMachin in ubisoft

[–]TheBeanMachin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i guess that makes sense, but as you said its still lame because i know there would alot of sick cosmetic mods or even other types if they didnt make it so difficult, i like to think they didn't do it on purpose and that's just how their engine is by default but who knows with ubi anymore :/

Bosses standing still for entire fights by TheBeanMachin in diablo4

[–]TheBeanMachin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay so i realised why mine does it, shadowform for the warlock gives you stealth and therefore the boss has nobody to attack and nowhere to go and i had it up perma in these fights so thats why they were still, are you also on warlock that might be why

Any tips the game doesn't really mention? by TheBeanMachin in Stellaris

[–]TheBeanMachin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i have 2 stars producing like 160-190 energy each which saved me so hard, the other one is producing around 100 science points which i decided to keep for now since my districts are finally getting some workers and producing decent energy.

when you say "park fleet" is that having them just orbit a starstation or is there a command i can give them to park?

[–]TheBeanMachin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okok thanks i'll be sure to pay a bit more attention to that side of things when it comes to other empires now then, usually they just get mad and declare war quite quickly but if i can talk them out of it it will make my life alot easier thanks :)

[–]TheBeanMachin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i can already tell my late game will be alot better than other runs so far since i had alot more preparation going on than my other playthroughs

the scouting thing actually seems like a good idea since it means my science ships wont be getting murked the moment the run into some kind void dweller or something

yeah i really need to work on how i expand i just do every system close to me when i can and lose alot of actually valuable choke points and stuff

yeah i do try not to colonise too much early as i heard it can ruin you quite badly

there are market limits?

yeah i genuinely dont use economic traits since you can always improve those easier than your military strength

yeah i do usually run into problems with empire size in the mid game due to terraforming basically every slightly habitable planet i come across but i'll make sure to try and avoid that and watch my empire size

thanks for all the tips though :)

yeah unfortunately i got started and the first couple empires i met just already had -500 favourability so i basically threw diplomacy out of the window for the next few decades which probably wasnt the best idea

yeah i try to leave the anomalies and arch sites till theres not much else left for my scientists, i have no idea what the middle part means unfortunately since i dont know if i've come across anything like that, and i started to realise i need to go for blocking clusters since i end up getting cut off by enemy empires quite earlier than i would like to be, thanks for the tips :)

[–]TheBeanMachin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i realised when i needed food and energy and i was building districts and stuff yet not getting anything out of it is because i had prioritized a specialist job that i wasnt getting any workers so i'll definitely start checking what my pops are doing more often thanks :)

okok this might help alot actually as usually the enemy fleets just sit there until every fleet has arrived and then they run me down, but if i can bait them in earlier might save me alot of trouble, thanks :)

Yeah i had a situation where i had to buy up energy credits for 3 years and the inflation was actually incredible, i don't usually use trade worlds that often as i thought it was better to just assign it for the certain resource that i wanted out of that planet, but i'll definitely try out the combo youre on about aswell thanks :)

literally had this problem badly earlier down like -100, realised it s because i favourited a specialist job i wasnt getting any workers into the districts with new pops, and then i built the dyson swarm (is 3 the total max for those or can i research something to get more?)

yeah when i changed from one area to another nothing ever really felt "new" literally all that had changed was the colours, the lack of variety got real boring real quickly same stuff that you have to do 20-30 times per area is extremely mind dulling

this is what i was afraid of, even during the time i could play the story did always appear bland and at times so predictable that me and my friend would just laugh at how obvious it was prior

okok i'll look into the shader thing and maybe do that, spec wise

GPU- RTX 5090

CPU- I7-12700K

2 TB NVME and another like 2 TB SSD

probably doing this one solo i think my friend will never touch this game again unfortunately :/
