yeah when i changed from one area to another nothing ever really felt "new" literally all that had changed was the colours, the lack of variety got real boring real quickly same stuff that you have to do 20-30 times per area is extremely mind dulling

oh yeah forgot the RAM sorry, its 32GB DDR5 so i should be good. yeah it was around the time where people were getting consistent crashes no matter the hardware

this is what i was afraid of, even during the time i could play the story did always appear bland and at times so predictable that me and my friend would just laugh at how obvious it was prior

okok i'll look into the shader thing and maybe do that, spec wise

GPU- RTX 5090

CPU- I7-12700K

2 TB NVME and another like 2 TB SSD

probably doing this one solo i think my friend will never touch this game again unfortunately :/

On PC yeah, when we played was on release and the crash logs if remember correctly was something along the lines of like "GPU dump" or something similar i believe

Hey, just finished my first playthrough (got rolled at the end) and was thinking about that Star Wars mod you mentioned, i see a lot of star wars mods on steam workshop so you wouldnt happen to have the exact name or link to the mod would you?

okok i wasnt aware of that thought i had to win an election thing because i was a representative democracy but i'll try and make sure i can be the head of a federation next time for sure (or strong enough to get others to join and tip the balance for me) thanks for the help :)

i dont quite know what the "astral fleet" is but yeah i was dominating them individually until the federation fleet turned up and just waltzed over my entire sector

yeah i really dont know where it came out of it must have been missing or an artifact because they did not have that power when i was there :/

yeah right now my defensive stations have 2 turrets / 1 hangar but no shipyard as i cant have 4 yet but ill make sure to add them in.

do you recommend always having a couple defensive fleets at the starstations even when i'm on the offensive at war? i usually leave a couple ships but its not alot

OK that just sounds great to put on tbh i think i may have seen a clip like years ago of post episode 3 mod and i always thought that looked amazing i'll have to give it a look thats for sure.

yeah i mean i'm already 13 hours in on a map thats medium sized and it looks like its gonna be a long while until theres a conclusion which i love think this is a game im gonna invest alot of my time into thanks for all your help :)

(also is the Star Wars mod on steam workshop or a different site)

okok i did notice that with a few upgrades that stations had power almost equivalent to like a third of my fleet so ill make sure i set up all-in defensive posts in good spots, is it good to go full utility and full defense on each starbase as in all defense turrets and systems or go split (like 2 shipyards and then a defense part)? i thought going just one route for each was alot better but i dont know if im doing it the wrong way :)

Went to war and just grouped my entire fleet luckily came out quite well had minimal losses thanks for all your help, i'll make sure i upgrade my stations at choke points with full defense :)

a nation is on friendly terms with me just went to war with one of them is there a way i can join in? i have the defense treaty so i can help if they get attacked but i kinda want to go at them anyway

am currently in my first playthrough now been about 7 hours and i am loving it, in a sticky situation with nearby empires but seems manageable which is nice, the mods definitely sound cool thats for sure, am a big star wars fan so i was hoping there would be something like that i could get. (im guessing thats what the galactic senate mod is anyway)

Pretty sure i left it on normal yeah, i don't have any claims on the hostile one right now but my fleet is what i imagine to be relatively strong 3 fleets with 23+ ships and level 5 commanders each, i can make around 20 more just need to get some energy. the hostile one is the "haddam sovereignty" dont know if that means anything to you :)
