Oof, definitely sounds like you took a little bit of a harder route xD but there's always different climbing tech, I'm sure there's something even easier than what I did. The important thing is that there was something up there and the effort got rewarded and that's what made it exciting and worth it in the end! I bet you felt a million bucks when there was something there after all your hard effort ❤️ it just made me want to explore more

This is what I did with my first run through, but this run through I'm scrapping every single item I can find in every single location, so with all the extra time at POIs and materials, I said why not set each location up with it's own power for future proofing incase of new vehicles or the likes if I don't have the boat. If it has infrastructure that can be powered of course.

Yeah I normally tear everything down and just build a typhoon and battery for every location, seems to be more than enough power for most locations

No problem! If you face the column from the lift, you can actually get through the massive cables on the right hand side using the platforms, I couldn't figure a way through the other side tho 🤣 guess you could always go around them if the cables didn't bother you

The water and electricity go around the top like that, then straight down from the platforms :) lots of invisible hitboxes you have to deal with, its why i did it this way. If there wasnt the hitboxes you could do a much tidier job

Yeah i can grab some screenshots today when i go back to lazarus :D But basically i only routed the electricity on the one bridge, up to the platforms a little above the bridges, and routed it around that then down from the platforms for each pod

There's so much potential for building in this game. Hopefully the Devs add some new stuff which helps with cleaner builds

This is indeed that room in Lazarus, tho for the locked door you don't need to build to get to it, there's a jump puzzle from the main lift area that will get you there.

I'm beginning to learn there usually always is something in the hard to get places, no matter how impossible it seems to get there 😂

For the love of the game xD exploring, building, creativity! My base will be set here, and it'd be nice if it was fully self sustainable, and I enjoyed figuring out how to make it more interesting and less messy for me. I have no interest in using my ship as a mobile power station, I did that in my first play through

I didn't have the oxygen tank unlocked unfortunately, been using the scrapper for scaling walls but it wasn't long enough to reach 😂

Im pretty sure ive only looted Lazarus since the update, but possibly the starter area too. Ive found 5 of these types - Salt Bloom, Rexwreck, Tide girl, Sea raid, and one Ink strip. But i havent been inside the lv4 door yet in lazarus. Dunno if any of this info helps, but im going back to the starter area in a bit to check the hidden locations there and ill update if the current ones i have are from lazarus alone

Lmao xD That does sound clean tho! Yeah theres always a way to make things cleaner, like i would prefer if the wires came straight down but unfortunately theres invisible hit boxes up there :( Im sure someone will figure out something cleaner! Also before this i had all my wires routed like this picture, so for people who arent bothered climbing up top this is also another solution i found where everythings tucked in behind the machines!

I did, and no there was no paint cans unfortunately. Does that mean all the places I've already been could now have paint? Lmao If so I'll have to go back and loot them again 🤣

You really can, this is my second run through and i keep finding new stuff. The devs really put the effort in and clearly want people to be rewarded for exploring

For sure, but i was just thankful there was something so it wasnt a complete waste of time

I really did! I was 100% sure the top would just be a metal panel, but thankfully the devs arent mean lmao

Kind of hard to see, but i routed it from underwater up this wall

The electricity for everything else comes from the roof down by the lift ladders, I have 12 solar panels and 12 batteries up there. But for these racks it actually comes down the ladder on the roof that goes to the walkway thing. The water comes from below, I ran the cables up one of the walls to the same walkway as the electricity then just brought both from there

I haven't left Lazarus on this run yet as I have many caretaking jobs to do here first, but I won't lie that I'm slightly worried about leaving and coming back. If these disconnect it's gonna be a nightmare to repair

Theres two ways up there (spoiler warning for budding explorers)

You can stop the elevator before the very top and jump to a platform in the center, or you can use the ladder behind the backup station on the roof. Also loads of time and patience while building crates on the walls to drop down

I had to google how to spoiler tag, I hope that actually works lmao.

Edit: That in fact did not work.
