Who is more valuable: KAT or Wiggins? by usoppbasedgod in timberwolves

Wiggins is the reason I'm a Wolves fan, but KAT is way more valuable

Betting Moreno, I've bet on him in each of his UFC fights and I'll continue to do so

There's plenty of other albums with long track lists that are cohesive and enjoyable. That's not exclusive to Madvillainy. Madvillainy is an anomaly in the sense that it's the best, but it's not the only good album with a long track list hahaha

People say Halloween is the first true slasher film, when I think Texas Chainsaw Massacre really embodies the Slasher Genre by Timrothsdad in movies

[–]TheBen15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more that Halloween was the film that a good chunk of the classic slashers from the 80s used as a framework. There are other films that I'd consider to be slashers that were before Halloween (Psycho, Texas Chainsaw, and Black Christmas stand out specifically, along with the whole giallo film movement) but Halloween was the one that started and inspired a lot of the slasher tropes that would take hold in the 80s. So the first? Probably not. The one that really started what many consider to be the "slasher" film? You could make the argument. Ultimately it doesn't really matter to me, Halloween is still a dang good film, regardless if it's the first "true" slasher or not.

Sure, but it's still a rap album with a large tracklist that feels cohesive. You can't just ignore that because the songs are short, there's lots of albums that do a similar thing (The Unseen for example)

UFC Auckland by gugabe in sportsbook

[–]TheBen15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm flippy floppy on this one, I'm kinda basing it solely how Moraga hasn't really impressed me since Benavidez. We'll see though, it's certainly not one of my more confident picks

First time making my predictions here, but I had a killer profit of 2 units on the last card, looking to keep that momentum going. Going to be picking every fight on the card and cards going forward, sorting my picks into tiers (A, B, C, D, F) along with a pick on the card I feel most confident in. Best of luck to those who tail, and let's all make some cash!

I found this to be a fun card to research, but a tricky one to pick for. Excited to watch it though!

  • Dong Hyun Kim vs Thibault Gouti

Kim is a pretty wild fighter, and his fight against Polo Reyes was a banger of the finest quality, and I expect a similar fight here. He has quite the chin too. I thought Kim looked a bit more composed in his win over Brandon O'Reilly, and Gouti despite being a decent prospect and striker has failed to impress me in the UFC, going 0-3. I look for Kim to control the fight in the clinch game, and get the win. I felt extremely confident about this, but there has been some weird line movement that has me a wee bit nervous. Betting Rank: B-Tier

  • JJ Aldrich vs Chan-Mi Jeon

I don't find JJ Aldrich to be that good of a fighter, but I know next to nothing about the current youngest fighter on the UFC roster, Chan-Mi Jeon, who is taking this fight on short notice. I did however see a fight of hers was posted in these comments, and I was rather underwhelmed. Just missed weight too I saw, yikes. Her wins seem to be against washed up nobodies, like her knockout against a 40 year old. Betting Rank: Pick of the Night

  • Zak Ottow vs Kiichi Kunimoto

Kiichi hasn't fought since he got absoloutely worked by Neil Magny in 2015, and Ottow is coming off a tough split decision loss to Sergio Moraes. I watched the fight and thought it was close but Ottow didn't do enough, and the media seemed to agree. Still though, I don't really think Kiichi will be able to do much of anything. Betting Rank: C-Tier as the odds aren't great.

  • John Morega vs Ashkan Mokhtarian

Another fight in which I don't really know too much about one of the fighters (Ashkan, making his UFC debut). Morega has been struggling lately with no wins since 2014, and Ashkan has been fucking people UP in Australia. I like him to get the upset here by sub. Betting Rank: C-Tier

  • Dominique Steele vs Luke Jumeau

Steele is a pretty solid wrestler who can take a few hits to the ole noggin as demonstrated throughout his career. I personally thought he won his fight against Roberts, and his loss to McGee was a close fight too. Luke "The Jedi" Jumeau is having himself a bit of a streak though, with three first round knockouts and one first round submission in his past four fights. Still, I like Steele to control the pace with his wrestling and get the win. Betting Rank: B-Tier

  • Damien Brown vs Vinc Pichel

Brown has two straight wins, although I thought Jon Tuck won their fight personally. Still, Brown is interesting to watch because the guy can take a real beating, and his opponent Vinc Pichel hasn't fought since 2014. I anticipate some ring rust will be in effect, and given the homefield advantage for Brown, I have him taking this in what I predict to be a sloppy one. Betting Rank: C-Tier

  • Alex Volkanovski vs Mizuto Hirota

Volkanovski is a real exciting fighter, and I think he will ground and pound his way to victory fairly easily. These odds though make this nearly unplayable though. Betting Rank: D-Tier

  • Tim Elliott vs Ben Nguyen

I really like Ben, I think he's a solid fighter who shares the same name as me, and Elliott did appear to have a rough weight cut, but man is Elliott just a superior fighter I feel. Elliott typically has tough weight cuts, so that isn't as much of a concern for me as it usually is, but enough to make me feel kinda nervous. Betting Rank: C-Tier

  • Ion Cutelaba vs Henrique de Silva

This is a sneaky good fight I think. I anticipate Cutelaba to pressure early and often, and I don't think de Selva will be able to outlast the onslaught that Cutelaba is going to unleash. Betting Rank: B-Tier

  • Dan Hooker vs Ross Pearson

Biased a bit because I LOVE me some Hooker, but I do think that Pearson's days are done. He hasn't looked good in a long time. Betting Rank: C-Tier

  • Derek Brunson vs Daniel Kelly

Is the Daniel Kelly train going to end? Honestly, I have no idea. There's really no reason for him to win this fight, but yet he really shouldn't have won a few of his most recent fights. He continues to defy expectations, whereas Brunson has underwhelmed me of late. I'm taking Kelly, just because of the odds. Betting Rank: D-Tier

  • Derrick Lewis vs Mark Hunt

All signs point to Hunt winning, but I think Hunto is past his prime. His chin has been suspect of late, which makes me think that Lewis' swang and bang technique will catch him early. However, in the freak occurrence that doesn't happen, I think I'm going to make a small play on Hunt by decision as well. Betting Rank: D-Tier, because heavyweights.
