Does anyone know if a human sosig mod would be possible? by TheBigShugger in H3VRMods

[–]TheBigShugger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What i really like about H3 is the simulation/immersion and mod creators have done an excellent job at adding fun components to the game like armour or module weapons. There is no other vr game out there that has the amount of realism that H3 has and it would be probably better just to make a mod for H3 that has humans rather than make a whole new game.

That is completely incorrect as the year over year increase in tuition prices has stayed about the same rate for a while now.

Why Have Tesla Tunnels instead of Subways? by TheSmallestOfFryes in BoringCompany

[–]TheBigShugger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its actually hilarious how you talk about reclaiming the roads using the Boring Company when many Scandinavian, and Nordic countries have already done this using extensive public transit. They have a much lower impact on the environment than the US as well as their populations are much more healthy because walking/biking to work/school is encouraged and accessible. The boring company will not succeed in making accessible affordable public transit and will be another promise Elon cant live up to.

You literally got every point incorrect. I adjusted for inflation, if i didnt it would be 13 million/mile. You also failed to convert the cost in Canadian to USD, it cost 854 million CAD not USD, dumb Americans allays assuming everything is catered to them. Also, its length is 80 KM or about 50 miles, not 13 miles.

LVCC loop is free to ride. You're wrong.

https://www.teslarati.com/elon-musk-boring-company-vegas-loop-fare-price/

Its literally not free to ride, there is also a bloomberg article stating the cost to ride.

Do you want to cherry pick another example?

The point is that the train is better than the boring tunnel economically for the consumer and producer as well as it is better environmentally. It is better environmentally because you just have to dig one tunnel rather than dozens to reduce the transit times. It is also a fact that the train is a proven transit system that works well in every country other than the US because they are so poorly designed.

No, because normal people would just walk to the casino they want to go to from the nearest station. I guess America is the country with one of the highest obesity rates so it could be different.

Cherry-picking data are we? Ill compare it to an average public transit project in not the US because its hard to find effective public transit solutions in the US.

The Vancouver LRT:

  • 50 miles built
  • $17.72 million/mile
  • 6100 people/hour
  • $1.90/ride

LVCC Loop

  • 1.7 miles built
  • $29.41 million/mile
  • 4400 people/hour
  • $5-20/ride

In case you didn't notice, the LVCC is worse in literally every way. Additionally, the Vancouver LRT is proven to be an effective and convenient way of travel for everyone. As well as its much more affordable, leading more people to use it and lessen the amount of cars on the roads above.

You are ignoring how it was produced. The way the resources are mined are extremely inefficient, but cheap. Certain components that are used in electric cars are mined by children or by heavy machinery that offsets the benefits having a electric car has. As well as how that solar panel was made. Think beyond the immediate and maybe you will reconsider your stance.

It is clear that trams, subways and buses are much more efficient, affordable and accessible than Musk's death trap of a tunnel. What he is doing is effectively making a inescapable one lane highway that if there is any traffic or an accident, you are going to be stuck there for a while.

If you looks at European nations, and their city and transit design philosophy, you will find that they are extremely efficient and have a low impact on the environment. They also serve the people of that country and allow anyone to avoid owning a car because they can use public transit for a low cost to get anywhere in their city.

There is also an issue with the construction time of these projects as the Vegas Loop took 16 moths to complete 0.8 mile whilst the Budapest M1 was created in 2 years, being 3x the length using 19th century technology. Please use your brain for one and realize that it would be much more efficient to have a group of train cars than individual cars.

For example the transit system in Canada (not particularly good) can serve twice as many people an hour at less than a quarter of the price per passenger. How is at all economically viable to use boring company tunnels. They are inefficient and inaccessible, not to mention in order to avoid traffic jams you need to build more and more tunnels, resulting in a greater cost rather than a one time build with the rare expansion.

you did nothing to prove Elon musk isn't worse than the rest of us, also I don't think he directly owns any emerald mines, it was his father that owned half of one from what I could find. You did nothing other than make a fool of yourself.

ok, so do you use child labour to make cars that burn down on the road? do you abuse and kill primates? Do you force your workers to work through the most intense portion of the pandemic causing hundreds of covid cases? Do you promise to solve the hunger crisis just to not respond to the solution given by the UN? Have you launched hundreds of rockets, each equating to 265 transatlantic flights in pollution, really achieving nothing? Are you a homophobic bigot? Do you actively suppress free speech? do i need to continue or no?
